There are provided measures for improved service continuity with mobile edge computing. Such measures exemplarily comprise detecting a handover of a communication endpoint from a first gateway to a second gateway, determining, whether an ongoing mobile edge computing related application session of said communication endpoint is routed by said first gateway, checking, upon positive result of said determining, whether said ongoing mobile edge computing related application session fulfills a predetermined condition, and initiating, upon positive result of said checking, a swap of said ongoing mobile edge computing related application session from said first gateway and a first mobile edge computing entity connected to said first gateway to said second gateway and a second mobile edge computing entity connected to said second gateway.

Methods, apparatuses and computer program product for improved service continuity with mobile edge computing

This document discloses a solution for detecting and mitigating anomalies such as signalling storms in a radio access network of a wireless communication system. According to an aspect, there is disclosed a method including receiving, in a first local traffic analysis module, configuration parameters from a second local traffic analysis module or from a central traffic analysis module connected to a plurality of local traffic analysis modules; monitoring, by a first traffic analysis module by using the received configuration parameters, traffic in a radio access network of a wireless communication system; detecting, in the monitored traffic on the basis of the configuration parameters, an anomaly causing a control plane signalling load; and in response to said detecting, taking an action to mitigate the anomaly and reporting information on the anomaly to the central traffic analysis module.

In order to facilitate group communication using characteristics of a prearranged group but not involving all members of the pre-arranged group, a parameter indicating that the group communication is not intended to all members of the pre-arranged group is added by an inviting group member sending a request to a group server, and the group server, in response to the parameter, is configured to not to invite all members to the group communication.

The invention relates to method applicable in a packet-switched cellular network for voice connections, by which method a new dedicated channel can be established quickly using the existing dedicated channel of the voice connection.
