The invention relates to a flexible and porous fabric structure comprising a support structure () and a coating material for use in a paper machine. The coating material () is arranged solely on the surface of the support structure () at a predefined location(s) so that the coating material () does not substantially alter the permeability properties of the support structure (). The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a fabric structure.

Fabric structure for use in paper machine and manufacturing method thereof

A paper machine fabric having at least two separate layers made of at least four warp yarn systems woven in different manners and a weft yarn system woven in at least two different manners. The layers are bound together by a binder warp system, whereby the binder warp is arranged to complement the surface of the paper side and to be interwoven with the layer of the machine side by being interwoven under at least one weft yarn of the machine side. The warp yarns of one warp yarn system, i.e. wandering warps, are arranged to complement a warp path formed by the binder warps so that it is continuous at those points on the machine side where the binder warps constitute a part of the paper side structure.

Paper machine fabric

A paper machine fabric comprising at least two machine direction yarn systems, which are bound together by means of a binding yarn system. The layer of the machine side is formed of a warp system and a binding yarn system. The binding yarn system comprises a binding yarn, binding yarns or a pair of binding yarns. The binding yarn, the binding yarns or the pair of binding yarns is/are bound to more than one bottom warps at the point where the binding yarn binds the top and bottom warps together.

A paper machine fabric comprising at least two separate layers formed using at least two separate yarn systems: one constituting the paper side and comprising machine direction and cross machine direction yarns and the other constituting the machine side and comprising machine direction and cross machine direction yarns, the yarn systems being arranged to form independent structures in both directions of the fabric. The structures are bound together with binder yarns, a binder yarn being arranged to form part of the weave of a layer on the paper side surface and arranged to be interwoven with a layer of the machine side by being interwoven under at least one yarn in the machine side layer. The number of machine direction yarns in the layer constituting the machine side is larger than the number of machine direction yarns in the layer constituting the paper side.

A paper machine fabric comprising at least two separate layers formed using at least two separate yarn systems: a yarn system forming the paper side and comprising machine direction and cross machine direction yarns and a yarn system forming the machine side and comprising machine direction and cross machine direction yarns, the yarn systems being arranged to form independent structures in the machine and cross machine directions of the fabric and the structures being bound together by means of binder yarns, a binder yarn being arranged to form part of the weave of a layer on the paper side surface and arranged to be interwoven with a layer of the machine side by being interwoven under at least one yarn in the machine side layer. The yarn system forming the paper side further comprises a substitute yarn provided with a binder yarn woven on both sides thereof. On the paper side, the substitute yarn is arranged to replenish the two yam paths formed by the above-mentioned two binder yarns at points where the above-mentioned two binder yarns are interwoven with the machine side.
