A tire is configured to rotate about an axis of rotation. The tire includes a tread block forming part of a tread of the tire and a circuit having a primary capacitive component. At least a part of the primary capacitive component is arranged a first distance from the tread and inside the tread block and a primary inductive component of which at least a part is arranged a second distance towards the interior of the tire from the tread. The tire includes an interrogator having an electric source, a communication circuit, and a secondary inductive component. The secondary inductive component is arranged on the same side of the tread as the primary inductive component and part of the secondary inductive component is arranged a third distance from the tread, the third distance being greater than the second distance. A method arranges a wear indicator on a tire.

Tire with a wireless indicator

A deformable sensor arrangement includes a deformable sensor attachable to a curved surface. The deformable sensor includes an elastic layer having a Young's modulus at least 0.01 MPa and a first yield strain at least 10%. A first stretchable electrode attaches to the elastic layer, and a stretchable electrically conductive wiring. The first stretchable electrode and the stretchable electrically conductive wiring stretch at least 5% without breaking. An electronic arrangement electrically couples to the first stretchable electrode via the stretchable electrically conductive wiring and obtains a first signal from the first stretchable electrode. An analyzer determines a calibrated value based on the obtained first signal and assembly compensation coefficients, which are based on material compensation coefficients, and a measured signal of the deformable sensor in its installing position. A system and method are for installing the arrangement. A method and computer program determine a value of interest.

Deformable sensor

A tire configured to rotate about an axis of rotation, the tire comprising a tread block forming at least a part of a tread of the tire and a circuit comprising a primary capacitive component, wherein at least a part of the primary capacitive component is arranged a first distance apart from the tread and inside the tread block and a primary inductive component of which at least a part is arranged a second distance towards the interior of the tire from the tread. The tire further comprises an interrogator comprising an electric source, a communication circuit, and a secondary inductive component. The secondary inductive component is arranged on the same side of the tread as the primary inductive component and at least a part of the secondary inductive component is arranged a third distance apart from the tread, the third distance being greater than the second distance. The invention relates to sensor () for use as a pressure and/or a force sensor. The sensor () comprises a elastic and stretchable layer () with material having a first Young's modulus (Y) and a first yield strain (&#x3b5;); at least a first stretchable electrode () and a second stretchable electrode () attached to the elastic and stretchable layer () and arranged a first distance (d, d) apart from each other; a flexible foil () having a second Young's modulus (Y); and electrically conductive wiring () attached to the flexible foil (). At least a part of the electrically conductive wiring () is coupled to the stretchable electrodes () in an electrically conductive manner; the first yield strain (&#x3b5;) is at least 10 percent; the first Young's modulus (Y) is less than the second Young's modulus (Y).

Capacitance force and/or pressure sensor having stretchable electrodes

A stretchable structure comprises or is configured to receive a conductive path and an interface region. The interface region comprises a peripheral line comprising at least one inwardly curved portion, such as an 'inverted teardrop' or a fjord like recess pointing essentially towards the center area of the interface region. The interface region is arranged to receive said stretchable conductive path via said inwardly curved portion of said peripheral line of said interface region. In this way the interface region minimizes strains or other twisting or stretching forces directed to the conductor entering into the opening of the inwardly curved portion of the interface region.

Stretchable structure comprising a conductive path and a method for manufacturing the structure

A capacitive sensor comprising a first electrically conductive wire that is flexible and stretchable, a compressible layer, an integral reinforcement structure, and a first electrode for measuring a capacitance and coupled to the first electrically conductive wire. The first electrically conductive wire is attached to a first joint for connecting the first wire to another electrically conductive structure, such as a flexible circuit board or a connector. The capacitive sensor is dividable to a first part of the capacitive sensor and to a second part of the capacitive sensor, the first and second parts extending through the sensor in a direction (Sz) of thickness of the sensor. The first electrically conductive wire extends from the first joint via the second part of sensor to the first part of the sensor and further to the first electrode. A resilience of the second part is improved. Therefore, [A] the second part of the sensor comprises a second part of the compressible layer, wherein an in-plane stiffness of the second part of the compressible layer is less than an in-plane stiffness of the first part of the compressible layer or [B] the compressible layer does not extend to the second part of the sensor.

Capacitive sensor

The invention relates to sensor for use as a pressure and/or a force sensor. The sensor comprises an elastic and stretchable layer with material having a first Young's modulus and a first yield strain, at least a first stretchable electrode and a second stretchable electrode attached to the elastic and stretchable layer and arranged a first distance apart from each other, a flexible foil having a second Young's modulus, and electrically conductive wiring attached to the flexible foil. At least a part of the electrically conductive wiring is coupled to the stretchable electrodes in an electrically conductive manner, the first yield strain is at least 10 per cent; the first Young's modulus is less than the second Young's modulus, and the thickness of the flexible foil is at most 0.5 mm.
