An approach is provided for providing a contextual model based upon user context data. A context modeling platform collects context data on offline activities of a user. The context modeling platform maps the collected user context data as context data points into a multidimensional contextual model. The context modeling platform causes, at least in part, actions that result in reception of at least one multidimensional contextual model of another user. The context modeling platform compares the multidimensional contextual model of the user with the multidimensional contextual model of the another user.

Method and apparatus for creating a contextual model based on offline user context data

A method for forwarding a call in a telecommunications network, where subscriber A's call is transferred using the call forwarding service from subscriber B's first terminal equipment to his/her second terminal equipment, the said second terminal equipment giving an indication of an incoming call. To provide a more user-friendly and less costly service for the user, the system monitors, when forwarding the call, whether the user performs a pre-defined action while the mobile telephone is ringing, and if such an action is detected, the call is re-routed back to the first terminal equipment. The method is particularly suitable for users who have both a fixed-wire telephone line and a mobile telephone.

Implementation of call forwarding in a telecommunications network

A method synchronizes signaling messages and multimedia content loading at a callee terminal. A first signaling message transmitted from a caller terminal to initiate a multimedia session establishment is processed to detect, in the first signaling message, information indicating that the multimedia content should be presented in synchronization with a second signaling message necessary to session establishment. The multimedia content is downloaded and presented in accordance with the information indicating that the multimedia content should be presented in synchronization with said second signaling message necessary to session establishment. The second signaling message necessary to session establishment is delayed until after the step of downloading and presenting the multimedia content in accordance with the information indicating that the multimedia content should be presented in synchronization with the second signaling message is completed.
