An elevator car () defining an interior space () for accommodating passengers. The elevator car () comprises an openable roof (), horizontal roof guide rails () arranged on a top side of the elevator car (), a support structure () pivotably mounted to the guide rails () by a first joint (), and a working platform () pivotably and movably mounted to the support structure () by a second joint () arranged at a distance from the first joint (). The working platform () is pivotable between a retracted position, in which said working platform is oriented close to the guide rails () in the top side of the elevator car, and a deployed position, in which the working platform () is in the interior space (), at a distance from the guide rails (). The first joint () being arranged movable along the guide rails ().

Elevator car

The invention relates to an elevator car comprising a support frame, a floor structure and a ceiling structure, as well as at least one car door, and side walls extending between the floor structure and the ceiling structure, wherein the side walls are formed from several wall elements, which are aligned end-to-end or end-to side in corners, wherein the wall elements are composite panels consisting of at least one support material and at least one noise insulating material, that the elevator car comprises at least one flatbar, extending over the surface of both adjacent wall elements, and covering the joint between them, which flatbar comprises or is connectable with fixing elements to at least one of both adjacent wall elements. Via this means the joint between two noise insulating wall elements does prevent any essential noise leakage.

A platform assembly includes a first platform module having an elongated front face, a second platform module having an elongated front face, and a locking member for locking the front faces of the first and second platform modules to each other. The locking member is movably mounted on the first platform module in a longitudinal direction of the front face thereof, and at least one of the locking member and the second platform includes a locking protrusion, and the other of the locking member and the second platform includes a locking slot, wherein the locking protrusion is received by the locking slot and protrudes from the front face of the first platform module. An edge of the locking protrusion is behind an edge of the locking slot when the locking member is moved in said longitudinal direction of the front face, thereby locking the platform modules to each other.

Platform assembly and a method for manufacturing an elevator car and an elevator car

The object of the invention is a method and an arrangement for opening and closing a suspended ceiling or corresponding of an elevator car and also a locking device. The suspended ceiling or corresponding is supported in place at least partly by one or more locking devices. In the method the suspended ceiling or corresponding is opened from its locking and lowered away from its position and fixed again into its position. In the opening phase of the suspended ceiling the locking devices supporting the suspended ceiling are pre-tuned into a state where the suspended ceiling continues to stay in place in the upper position and after pre-tuning the suspended ceiling is released from its locking by lifting the suspended ceiling first upwards and after this by letting the suspended ceiling lower downwards.
