An apparatus for removing dog waste is disclosed which includes a bottom panel () for scooping up a piece of dog waste from a ground, a left side panel (L) and a right side panel (R) both attached to a back panel (), each of the left side panel (L), the right side panel (R) and the back panel () also attached to the bottom panel () to form a concave space with only one front opening, and a front panel () pivotally connected to a top edge of the back panel (), wherein when the front panel () pivots to a first position the front panel () reaches the bottom panel () and completely covers the front opening, and when the front panel () pivots to a second position there is a gap between the front panel () and the bottom panel () for accommodating the piece of dog waste.

A plastic slider zipper is disclosed which includes a pair of plastic zipper strips with ends melted together to form an end piece with a predetermined thickness, a slider slidably engaging the pair of plastic zipper strips with two side walls and a plow, a first gap between the two side walls near a first end of the slider being small enough to squeeze the zipper strips into an interlocking position, the plow located between the two side walls being able to separate the interlocked zipper strips, a top of the slider having an opening near a second end of the slider, the second end being opposite to the first end, and a fork-like part removably inserted in the opening, the fork-like part having two columns with a space therebetween approximately matching the predetermined thickness for the two columns to straddle the end piece.

Passive-type treadmill

A passive-type treadmill is disclosed which includes a closed-loop belt rolling around a first and a second roller for providing a running platform, the first and second rollers being space apart, a resistance wheel contacting the first roller for providing resistance to the rotation of the first roller, the resistance wheel being capable of rotating around a shaft, and a spring urging the shaft and thus the resistance wheel against the first roller.

A cooking system is disclosed which includes a wok for receiving food, the wok being placed on top of a base unit housing a heating element for heating up the wok, a lid substantially covering the wok, at least a portion of the lid being able to rotate relative to the wok, a shaft secured to the rotating portion of the lid, a stirrer pivotally mounted to the shaft, a controller housed in the base unit controlling the heating element and rotations of the shaft and the lid, the rotation of the shaft causing a part of the stirrer to sweep from an edge of the wok to approximately a center of the wok in a low path and return to an edge of the wok in a high path, in the low path the part of the stirrer approximately touching a surface of the wok, in the high path the part of the stirrer being high above and not touching the surface of the wok, and a computing device residing outside of the base unit and signally coupled to the controller, the computing device storing a computer program upon execution instructing the computing device to send operating commands to the controller, the operating commands controlling the heating element and the rotations of the shaft and the lid.

A system for entering text into a computing device is disclosed, the system includes an on-screen displayed (OSD) keypad having a first predetermined number of lines of keys, and a remote control unit having the same predetermined number of shift buttons, each of the shift buttons corresponding to a unique one of the lines of keys, wherein a press of one of the shift buttons immediately causes a selection of a key in the line of keys corresponding to the pressed shift button regardless which key is previously selected.

This invention provides a safety apparatus for a stapler, the safety apparatus comprises a first plate having a hook and a first opening, wherein when the first plate is in a first position, the hook engages a driving blade for preventing the same from driving out a staple, a second plate substantially parallel to the first plate and having a second opening, a pin having a first and second end, and a first spring urging the pin downward with the first end of the pin protruding from a bottom of a housing body of the stapler and the second end of the pin below the second plate, wherein when the housing body is pressed against an object, the first end of the pin is pushed into the housing body, and the second end of the pin is inserted into both the first and second openings.
