A liquid crystal display having photo-sensing input mechanism includes a first gate line for transmitting a first gate signal, a second gate line for transmitting a second gate signal, a data line for transmitting a data signal, a pixel unit for outputting an image signal according to the first gate signal and the data signal, a readout line for transmitting a readout signal, a photo-sensing input unit and a driving adjustment unit. The photo-sensing input unit is utilized for generating a sensing voltage according to a driving voltage and an incident light signal, and is further utilized for outputting the readout signal according to the sensing voltage and the first gate signal. The driving adjustment unit is employed to provide the driving voltage according to the second gate signal and the incident light signal.

Liquid crystal display having photo-sensing input mechanism

An exemplary active matrix display device includes a plurality of gate signal lines, a plurality of data signal lines and a plurality of pixel rows. The gate signal lines are independently driven from one another. Each of the pixel rows is electrically coupled to one of the gate signal lines and a part of the data signals lines. The pixel rows include a first pixel row and a second pixel row. The first pixel row and the second pixel row are not neighboring with each other. The gate signal line electrically coupled with the first pixel row and the gate signal line electrically coupled with the second pixel row are synchronously enabled.

An optical sense-control system, for receiving a first light and second light, includes a first optical filter, a second optical filter, and an optical detection module. The transmission of the first light having a majority intensity in a first wave-length band is greater than the transmission of the second light having a majority intensity in a second wave-length band in the first optical filter, the first wave-length band is less than the second wave-length band, and the transmission of the second light is greater than the transmission of the first light in the second optical filter. The optical detection module is used for creating a first control signal while the first light emitting through the first optical filter at a first zone is detected and a second control signal is created while the second light emitting through the second optical filter at a second zone is detected.

Optical sense-control system having light filters

A liquid crystal display (LCD) device essentially includes a plurality of data lines, a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of pixel units. Each pixel unit includes a first liquid-crystal capacitor, a second liquid-crystal capacitor, a first switch and a second switch. The first liquid-crystal capacitor of a pixel unit is charged via the first switch of the same pixel unit. The second liquid-crystal capacitor of a pixel unit is charged via the second switch of the same pixel unit and the first switch of a different pixel unit. The sub-pixel voltages corresponding to the first and second liquid-crystal capacitors of the same pixel unit have the same polarity. Furthermore, disclosed is a liquid-crystal display driving method for writing two data signals having same polarity respectively into the first and second liquid-crystal capacitors of a pixel unit via the same date line during two intervals partly overlapped.

A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and a method for driving pixels thereof are provided. The present invention uses a fixed voltage generated by a charge-sharing unit to perform charge-sharing with a second sub-pixel in a pixel, so as to make that the brightness of a second bright region corresponding to the second sub-pixel is darker than the brightness of a first bright region corresponding to a first sub-pixel in the pixel. Accordingly, the present invention can achieve the purpose of gray-levels space stacking without adding additional data lines and thus improving the color washout phenomenon of the LCD.

Pixel circuit includes first and second scan lines, data line, three switches, and pixel. Three switches all include first end, second end, and control end. Pixel includes first and second sub-pixels. First end of first switch is coupled to data line. Control end of first switch is coupled to first scan line. First end of second switch is coupled to second end of first switch. Control end of second switch is coupled to second scan line. First end of third switch is coupled to data line. Control end of third switch is coupled to first scan line. First sub-pixel is coupled to second end of second switch for coupling to second end of third switch through second and first switches. Second sub-pixel is coupled to second end of third switch for coupling to data line through third switch.
