The embodiment may include generating a contextual language set based on a language tag assigned to each electronic mail message within an electronic mailbox, whereby the generated contextual language set includes a first language and a second language. The embodiment may also include receiving a search term. The embodiment may further include identifying the received search term is drafted in the first language. The embodiment may also include generating a root character string of the identified search term. The embodiment may further include executing a search query of electronic mail messages within the electronic mailbox drafted in the first language using the generated root character string. The embodiment may also include executing a search query of electronic mail messages within the electronic mailbox drafted in the second language using the identified search term.

Contextual-based high precision search for mail systems

An approach for identifying and managing tasks in an e-mail system. An e-mail task manager, receives an e-mail and creates n-grams based on e-mail data content and metadata content. The e-mail task manager identifies the e-mail as a task e-mail based on analyzing the n-grams to detect a task and a task owner. The e-mail task manager determines task details associated with the task e-mail based on the n-grams and determines a collection of recommended actions based on the task details. The e-mail task manager stores the collection of recommended actions and associated action states in a task history store. The e-mail task manager outputs the collection of recommended actions and the action states associated with the task e-mail based on the task owner and updates the collection of recommend actions and the associated action states based on interactions by the task owner.

A multimedia messaging system for receiving/sending multimedia messages, includes: a wireless LAN; and a MMS gateway. The MMS gateway performs: receiving/sending the multimedia message to/from a MMS user device via the wireless LAN; and encrypting the multimedia message. The encryption is performed by: issuing a certificate to the MMS user device; sending a session ID and a master key encrypted by the MMS gateway's private key to the MMS user device in response to a request of the MMS user device having the certificate; generated a shared secret key using an algorithm combining the master key with the MMS user device's phone number and the session ID; and encrypting the multimedia message using the shared secret key.

Method for receiving/sending multimedia messages

A method for receiving/sending multimedia message uses a wireless LAN, and communicates with a gateway via the wireless LAN so as to send and receive multimedia messages. Furthermore, the gateway of the invention detects whether the user device is located within the wireless LAN. If yes, then multimedia messages are sent and received via the wireless LAN; and if not, then via conventional telecom network. The invention also discloses a corresponding gateway and a corresponding user device.

The present invention relates to a mobile phone and a method for its operation and control. The mobile phone is capable of receiving the message sent by other mobile phones through a message transmission system. The method comprises: receiving the message from another mobile phone, wherein the received message comprises a presentation part and an associated control part, the control part being used for the control and management of the processing of the received message; extracting the control part from the received message; and executing the operation related to the message based on the extracted control part. According to an embodiment, if the control part received by the mobile phone comprises the notification mode control command, the mobile phone issues a message notification according to the notification mode control command, disregarding the message notification mode pre-configured on the mobile phone. Furthermore, the gateway of the invention detect whether the user device is located within the wireless LAN. If yes, then multimedia messages are sent and received via the wireless LAN; and if not, then via conventional telecom network. Method, system, gateway and user device for receiving/sending multimedia message

A method for filtering spam directed at mobile phones in a short message system (SMS). A short message includes message content, and both a mobile phone number and a first authentication code of a destination mobile phone. A second authentication code of the destination mobile phone is stored in a memory. The short message is received and the first authentication code and the second authentication code are extracted from the short message and the memory, respectively. If it is ascertained that the extracted first authentication code does not match the extracted second authentication code, then the short message is determined to be SMS spam and is prevented from being subsequently received by the destination mobile phone. Otherwise the short message is determined to not be SMS spam and is not prevented from being subsequently received by the destination mobile phone. An authentication apparatus within the SMS performs the method.
