A device to detect unauthorized opening of a casing is disposed in the upper or lower casing of an apparatus. The device includes a base plate with vibrator, carrier, and sensor on the lower case, and receiving grooves. Balls of a lesser number than the number of receiving grooves are installed in the grooves in a predetermined arrangement by the manufacturer. A waveguide element and magnet, fixed on the upper casing, is in contact with the balls, and when the waveguide is vibrated, the number and locations of the balls govern the form of a setting signal derived therefrom at the factory. If the upper casing is separated from the lower casing, the waveguide element separates from the carrier, the magnetic element gathers the balls, the predetermined arrangement being thereby lost, when tested by an authorized repair engineer.

Tamper-detection device to detect unauthorized operations on apparatus

Training a predict model with network traffic and data change messages generated by an existing web application running in a production environment. The predict model being is trained to predict data changes resulted from API calls embodied in network traffic. A stream of network traffic of the existing web application is replayed with an upgraded version of the existing web application to generate real data changes. The stream of network traffic is applied to the predict model to generate predicted data change messages. The predicted data change messages are comparing with real data change messages representing the real data changes. One or more existing APIs is identified as being possibly functionally degraded based on any inconsistency of the predicted data change messages with the real data change messages.

Subsequently, the properties of the waste disposed in the environmental location are classified according to a class. Additional information from external data sources including second properties of the environmental location is received by the computer. The computer determines a behavior of waste disposal in the environmental location over a period of time based on the classified properties of the disposed waste and the first and second properties of the environmental location, and generated a remediation plan based on the determined behavior.

An approach is provided that trains neural network by receiving data inputs to a cloud-based system from users, gathering a sets of responsive system data from the cloud-based system, and training the neural network by passing the received data inputs and corresponding sets of responsive data through the neural network. After the training is performed, the approach receives user actions from a user of the cloud-based system, inputs the user actions to the trained neural network and receives one or more predicted next user actions from the trained neural network. This application discloses a D-3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase allosteric inhibitor and the use thereof. In one class is the benzoyl hydrazine compound for the allosteric site MDL-1 of the enzyme, and the other class is the furan compound for the allosteric site MDL-2 of the enzyme. In vitro enzymatic activity tests, cell viability tests and mouse xenograft model experiments confirm that the two classes of allosteric inhibitors can specifically inhibit the activity of D-3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase and delay the growth of cancer cells by reducing the overexpression of the enzyme in cancer cells. Same are used alone or in combination, or in combination with other anti-cancer drugs and can treat, prevent, or inhibit tumor diseases, including breast cancer, colon cancer, melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer.

A mechanism to prevent unauthorized physical use of an electronic device includes a main circuit board, a plurality of light sources, a plurality of sensors, a base, a plurality of optical members, and a magnetic member. The base comprises a base body and a plurality of guiding members. Each optical member comprises a main body and a magnetic portion. The main body of each optical member can change either a direction of propagation of light or a wavelength of light emitted from a light source, or both, and can propagate such light to a sensor which can forward to a control unit electrical signals representing a password input. When the electronic device is detached, the magnetic member attracts the magnetized optical members into random disorder on the cover, thereby destroying the predefined order.
