A semiconductor device includes a substrate having a first region and a second region, a first transistor in the first region, a second transistor in the first region, and a third transistor in the second region. The first transistor includes a first channel layer and a first gate dielectric layer on the first channel layer. The second transistor includes a second channel layer and a second gate dielectric layer on the second channel layer. The second gate dielectric layer is thicker than the first gate dielectric layer. The third transistor includes a third channel layer and a third gate dielectric layer on the third channel layer. The third gate dielectric layer is thicker than the second gate dielectric layer.

Gate-all-around devices having gate dielectric layers of varying thicknesses and method of forming the same

A semiconductor device includes a substrate; an I/O device over the substrate; and a core device over the substrate. The I/O device includes a first gate structure having an interfacial layer; a first high-k dielectric stack over the interfacial layer; and a conductive layer over and in physical contact with the first high-k dielectric stack. The core device includes a second gate structure having the interfacial layer; a second high-k dielectric stack over the interfacial layer; and the conductive layer over and in physical contact with the second high-k dielectric stack. The first high-k dielectric stack includes the second high-k dielectric stack and a third dielectric layer.

The LCD sequentially comprises, from bottom to top, a backlight module, a first polarizer, a first substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a second substrate, and a second polarizer. The second substrate comprises plural transparent areas thereon. The first substrate comprises plural light-focusing arrays. Each of the light-focusing arrays comprises plural high-refractive areas and low-refractive areas disposed between the high-refractive areas. The plural high-refractive areas comprises a first high-refractive area and plural second high-refractive area disposed on two sides of the high-refractive areas symmetrically, wherein the widths of the second high-refractive areas are the same and smaller than the width of the first high-refractive area.

High brightness liquid crystal display

A power LDMOS device including a substrate, source and drain regions, gates and trench insulating structures is provided. The substrate has a finger tip area, a finger body area and a palm area. The source regions are in the substrate in the finger body area and further extend to the finger tip area. The neighboring source regions in the finger tip area are connected. The outmost two source regions further extend to the palm area and are connected. The drain regions are in the substrate in the finger body area and further extend to the palm area. The neighboring drain regions in the palm area are connected. The source and drain regions are disposed alternately. A gate is disposed between the neighboring source and drain regions. The trench insulating structures are in the substrate in the palm area and respectively surround ends of the drain regions.

Power LDMOS device and high voltage device

A reduced surface field (RESURF) structure and a lateral diffused metal oxide semiconductor (LDMOS) device including the same are provided. The RESURF structure includes a substrate of a first conductivity type, a deep well region of a second conductivity type, an isolation structure, at least one trench insulating structure, and at least one doped region of the first conductivity type. The deep well region is disposed in the substrate. The isolation structure is disposed on the substrate. The trench insulating structure is disposed in the deep well region below the isolation structure. The doped region is disposed in the deep well region and surrounds a sidewall and a bottom of the trench insulating structure.

Resurf structure and LDMOS device

The LCD sequentially includes, from bottom to top, a backlight module, a first polarizer, a first substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a second substrate, and a second polarizer. The second substrate includes multiple transparent areas thereon. The first substrate includes multiple light-focusing arrays. Each of the light-focusing arrays includes multiple high-refractive areas and low-refractive areas disposed between the high-refractive areas. The multiple high-refractive areas includes a first high-refractive area and multiple second high-refractive area disposed on two sides of the high-refractive areas symmetrically, wherein the widths of the second high-refractive areas are the same and smaller than the width of the first high-refractive area.

A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a first protective layer, a first polarizing layer, a second protective layer, an active device array substrate, an opposite substrate, a twisted nematic liquid crystal layer, a third protective layer, a second polarizing layer and a fourth protective layer. The first polarizing layer is disposed between the first and the second protective layers; the active device array substrate is disposed over the second protective layer. The twisted nematic liquid crystal layer is disposed between the opposite substrate and the active device array substrate. The third protective layer is disposed on the opposite substrate, and the second polarizing layer is disposed between the third and the fourth protective layers. The second protective layer has an in-plane and an out-of-plane retardation values. The in-plane retardation value is between 1 and 10 nanometers, and the out-of-plane retardation value is between 50 and 130 nanometers.

Liquid crystal display apparatus

A color filter including a substrate and a color filter layer is disclosed. The color filter layer is disposed on the substrate and includes a red photonic crystal structures, a green photonic crystal structure and a blue photonic crystal structure. The red photonic crystal structure includes a first defect resonance cavity and has multiple first holes surrounding the first defect resonance cavity. The green photonic crystal structure includes a second defect resonance cavity and has multiple second holes surrounding the second defect resonance cavity. The blue photonic crystal structure includes a third defect resonance cavity and has multiple third holes surrounding the third defect resonance cavity. Wherein, the hole diameter of the first holes is less than the hole diameter of the second holes, and the hole diameter of the second holes is less than the hole diameter of the third holes.

Color filter and fabricating method thereof

The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device, which comprises a top polarizer and a lower polarizer, a liquid crystal cell, and a back light assemble, the device is characterized in that the lower polarizer is subjected to an anti-glaring treatment while the top polarizer is not. In the liquid crystal display device (LCD) according to the present invention, since the top polarizer is not subjected to the anti-glaring treatment, the prepared device exhibits a vision property similar to that of cathode ray tube (CRT) display device without brownish nor glittering problems associated with conventional LCD in which a top polarizer is subjected to anti-glaring treatment.
