Microservice provision and management

A real-time vehicle-based data gathering system includes: a vehicle management server to transmit a request to a plurality of vehicles, the request including geolocation information and microcode, wherein a respective vehicle of the plurality of vehicles is configured to execute the microcode when in a location corresponding to the geolocation information, the microcode to cause the respective vehicle to: execute a data gathering task using sensors in the respective vehicle, and transmit a response to the vehicle management server when the data gathering task is complete; and a data stream processor to receive responses from the plurality of vehicles, the responses including real-time sensed data acquired from the plurality of vehicles.

Real-time vehicle-based data gathering

Various systems and methods for implementing context-based digital signal processing are described herein. An object detection system includes a processor to: access sensor data from a first sensor and a second sensor integrated in a vehicle; access an operating context of the vehicle; assign a first weight to a first object detection result from sensor data of the first sensor, the first weight adjusted based on the operating context; assign a second weight to a second object detection result from sensor data of the second sensor, the second weight adjusted based on the operating context; and perform a combined object detection technique by combining the first object detection result weighted by the first weight and the second object detection result weighted by the second weight.

Context-based digital signal processing

A microservice infrastructure that securely maintains the currency of computing platform microservices implemented within a process virtual machine is provided. The computing platform microservices maintained by the infrastructure may include protected methods that provide and control access to components of the underlying computing environment. These components may include, for example, storage devices, peripherals, and network interfaces. By providing a software-defined microservice layer between these hardware components and workflows that specify high-level application logic, the embodiments disclosed herein have enhanced flexibility and scalability when compared to conventional technology.

Software-defined microservices

In one embodiment, a processor includes a performance monitor including a last branch record (LBR) stack to store a call stack to an event of interest, where the call stack is collected responsive to a trigger for the event. The processor further includes logic to control the LBR stack to operate in a call stack mode such that an entry to a call instruction for a leaf function is cleared on return from the leaf function. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Some implementations provide techniques and arrangements for causing an interrupt in a processor in response to an occurrence of a number of events. A first event counter counts the occurrences of a type of event within the processor and outputs a signal to activate a second event counter in response to reaching a first predefined count. The second event counter counts the occurrences of the type of event within the processor and causes an interrupt of the processor in response to reaching a second predefined count.

A system and method for a performance monitoring hardware unit that may include logic to poll one or more performance monitoring shared resources and determine a status of each performance monitoring shared resource. The performance monitoring hardware unit may also include an interface to provide the status to allow programming of the one or more performance monitoring shared resource. The status may correspond to a usage and/or an errata condition. Thus, the performance monitoring hardware unit may prevent programming conflicts of the one or more performance monitoring shared resources.

Event counter checkpointing and restoring is disclosed. In one implementation, a processor includes a first event counter to count events that occur during execution within the processor, event counter checkpoint logic, communicably coupled with the first event counter, to store, prior to a transactional execution of the processor, a value of the first event counter, a second event counter to count events prior to and during the transactional execution, wherein the second event counter is to increment without resetting after the transactional execution is aborted, event count restore logic to restore the first event counter to the stored value after the transactional execution is aborted, and tuning logic to determine, in response to aborting of the transactional execution, a number of the events that occurred during the transactional execution based on the stored value of the first event counter and a value of the second event counter.

A method is described that involves referring to first information from a directory table in system memory. The first information includes location information and size information of a first slice of system memory where first tracing data is to be stored. The method also includes tracking the amount of tracing data stored in the first slice of system memory and comparing the amount against the size information. The method also includes, before the first slice of system memory is filled, referring to second information from the directory table in system memory, where, the second information includes location information and size information of a second slice of system memory where second tracing data is to be stored. The first slice is not contiguous with the second slice of system memory.

A method of one aspect may include storing an event count of an event counter that counts events that occur during execution within a logic device. The method may further include restoring the event counter to the stored event count after the event counter has counted additional events. Other methods are also disclosed. Apparatus, systems, and machine-readable medium having software are also disclosed.
