The invention relates to a method for printing printed material which is individualized with logistical printed image elements, wherein at least one printed image, particularly a static printed image, which is printed in a printing machine, is individualized by technically adding at least one dynamic logistical printed image element. According to the invention, data of the/each dynamic logistical printed image element is combined in such a way that the/each printed image and the/each logistical printed image element are automatically updated by comparing data between a data bank provided by a print job user and a data bank provided by a logistics provider prior to printing the printed material individualized with the/each logistical printed image element.

Method for printing printed material, which is individualized with logistic print-image elements

The aim of the invention is to simplify the attachment of RFID chips or RFID transponders to packagings. For this purpose, the RFID chips are produced as a single RFID label together with antenna elements that are functionally associated therewith. The chips or transponders can be attached to a packaging by means of corresponding devices during production of the printed material, during a subsequent treatment or finishing process of the printed material, during the preparation of the packaging, during production of the packaging or during filling of the packaging. At the time of attachment, the RFID chips can be tested and initialized. The invention allows to considerably simplify the so far complex processes required to integrate the RFID chips into different types of packaging.

Direct integration of RFID elements into folding boxes

A method of printing an electronic circuit or components thereof uses a printing machine to print a conductive structure on the front printing side (back side of the sheet) of a printing substrate. The sheet is then reversed and a decorative printing motif is printed on the back side in one work step. Alternatively, the circuit or components of a circuit may be printed by having a printing machine for color printing preceded by a printing machine for printing on the back side of the printing substrate. A chip is applied to the printing substrate where the back side of the printing sheet with the printing motif is cooled to prevent any negative effect on the printing motif and/or the printing substrate.

Method for printing an electronic circuit component on a substrate using a printing machine

A printing unit having at least one press unit, the, or each, press unit having at least one form cylinder, a transfer cylinder, an inking unit and preferably a damping unit, and having at least one imaging device for imaging and/or de-imaging a rewritable and erasable printing form positioned on the form cylinder. The inking unit, if appropriate together with the damping unit, can be pivoted with respect to a form cylinder from a printing position into a rest position. The imaging device can be pivoted with respect to the form cylinder from an imaging position into a rest position. The imaging device is pivoted into a rest position when the inking unit and, if appropriate, damping unit is pivoted into the printing position and, when the imaging device is pivoted into the imaging position, the inking unit and, if appropriate, the damping unit is pivoted into a rest position.

Printing unit for a press

A web-fed press is provided. The web-fed press includes a reel carrier and a plurality of printing units arranged one after another for printing a printing material with a static printed image. The web-fed press includes a folder superstructure that is arranged after the printing units and a folding unit arranged after the folder superstructure. An imprinting unit for individualizing the static printed image with, in particular, changing text and/or image constituents is integrated into the web-fed press in the region of the folder superstructure.

A printing machine for multicolor printing which includes a plurality of printing units and a system for transporting and guiding either sheet-type or web-type printable matter through the printing units. The guiding system includes means, such as adhesive, contact pressure, or retaining belts, for maintaining the printable matter on a transfer belt in proper registry during transfer through the successive printing units.

Variable-format web-fed offset printing machine having printing-unit cylinders comprising core cylinders to which compressed air can be applied and onto which intermediate sleeves can be pushed axially and shrunk on radially. Each intermediate sleeve includes a carrier layer whose inner face rests on the core cylinder, a compressible intermediate layer, a transition layer, and a variable-thickness bridging layer, which ends with a covering layer to which a further surface like a printing plate or a rubber blanket can be fitted.

In a rotary printing machine, in particular a web-fed rotary printing machine, having at least one printing unit including a plurality of printing-unit cylinders, of which at least one can be brought into and out of operative connection with at least one functional unit which is associated with a function needed to operate the printing unit, is provided with a drive device and is fitted on a linear guide device, a high level of operating convenience and working accuracy being achieved by the functional unit being assigned a positioning device, which has a controller which can be fed with at least one position-dependent signal which can be generated by means of a sensor arrangement associated with the functional unit and by which the drive device can be controlled.

Rotary printing machine

In a web-fed rotary offset printing machine, operating preferably with variable-format cylinders, both sides of the printing machine are covered, during the operation and resetting of the machine, so that no access, in particular no access to the printing units, is possible. For this purpose, an access module is used between the printing-units, which module is equipped laterally with covers which resemble window roller blinds and cannot be opened while the machine is in operation.

A printing unit is provided for a web-fed rotary printing machine, having a plurality of cylinders with associated drive motor, an additional device for printing an at least two guide elements. At least one cylinder is a plate cylinder. At least one guide element corresponds to the plate cylinder and is operably arranged in the printing unit for determining a setting path of the corresponding plate cylinder relative to the other cylinders. This guide element extends as far as the additional device for printing.

Printing unit

A printing unit for a web fed rotary printing machine is provided including a machine frame support, two sets of printing unit cylinders, carriages, drive motors and guide elements. The two sets of printing unit cylinders, include a plurality of outer printing unit cylinders and a plurality of inner printing unit cylinders. Each carriage corresponds to one printing unit cylinder for rotatably mounting its corresponding printing unit cylinder on the machine frame support. There is a drive motor for each carriage. Two sets of guide elements are arranged on the machine frame for determining a travel setting of the plurality of carriages along the machine frame support. The guide elements for the outer cylinders are arranged on the frame support in an orientation different than the guide elements for the inner cylinders so that movement of the outer printing unit cylinders is in a different direction than movement of the inner printing unit cylinders. Optionally, the printing unit accommodates additional printing devices that are moveable in relation to their corresponding cylinders and vice versa.

A method and apparatus for fitting a printing plate to a plate cylinder where the printing plate is bent into a circular shape and fixed in this form by leading and trailing legs of the plate being firmly connected to each other. The printing plate shaped in this way is subsequently axially pushed onto the plate cylinder from the free side of the plate cylinder.

A method of operating a printing machine and a printing machine apparatus in which basic knowledge about the interaction between operating media in the printing machine is obtained through printing trials or during production. This knowledge is stored in an expert system and made available for the printing operation or else for the production of the printing plate. The expert system is preferably a self-teaching system. For color reproduction, basic calibrations are carried out in a first quality step, in a second step, the imaging operation is adapted to the areas and half tones to be imaged, and ink-density regulation is carried out in a third step.
