Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may receive, from a first source device, a first quantity of frames that may be compressed in accordance with a first compression scheme and may receive, from a second source device, a second quantity of frames that may be compressed in accordance with the first compression scheme. The wireless device may transmit, to at least the first source device, a compression level report that indicates a second compression scheme for compression of additional quantities of frames from the first source device, where the second compression scheme may be associated with reduced processing with respect to processing associated with the first compression scheme, where the reduced processing may be based on a correlation between the first content of the first quantity of frames and the second content of the second quantity of frames.

Compression parameter reporting

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication and to product codes for wireless communications. Some aspects more specifically relate to enabling a Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH) product code for wireless communications. In some aspects, a transmitter and/or a receiver may flexibly select parameters for a BCH product code based on or otherwise associated with communication parameters of a wireless communication to be encoded, such as the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) and/or allocation size, among other examples. For example, the transmitter and/or the receiver may select parameters for the BCH product code to ensure that the BCH product code is designed to handle a quantity of channel bits associated with a current configuration of a channel (for example, of an uplink data channel and/or a downlink data channel) and to increase a correction capability associated with the BCH product code for the current configuration of the channel.

Product code for wireless communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a time and frequency resource allocated to an uplink shared channel and may identify a threshold signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) associated with the time and frequency resource. The UE may transmit both an uplink data signal and a sounding reference signal (SRS) via at least the time and frequency resource. The uplink data signal and the SRS may overlap in both time and frequency within the time and frequency resource. The uplink data signal may be transmitted using a first transmit power and the SRS may be transmitted using a second transmit power. The first transmit power and the second transmit power may be based on the threshold SNR.

Superimposed sounding reference signals on uplink data transmissions

In some aspects of the systems, methods, and devices described herein, one or more asymmetric modulation constellations may be utilized. For example, a modulation constellation utilized to modulate data symbols may be asymmetric. In some approaches, an asymmetric modulation constellation may be generated by introducing a phase shift (e.g., cyclic shift, phase rotation) to one or more constellation points of a modulation constellation. An asymmetric modulation constellation may allow detecting phase shifts without ambiguity. For example, a user equipment (UE) may perform channel estimation or phase noise estimation aided by data symbols that are modulated with an asymmetric modulation constellation. In some examples, a UE may receive a message from a network entity indicating a configuration of an asymmetric modulation constellation. The UE may demodulate data symbols of a data signal based on a channel characterization estimate that is associated with the configuration of the asymmetric modulation constellation.

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support signaling of network entities' phase noise inter-carrier interference (ICI) order for reducing user equipment (UE) phase noise cancelation complexity. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes obtaining a power spectral density (PSD) measurement of a phase noise mask of a network entity prior to deployment in the field. The network entity, after deployment, measures an integrated residual PSD measurement per candidate phase noise bandwidth size and transmits these integrated residual PSD measurements to a UE. The UE may then use the integrated residual PSD measurements to estimate phase noise for cancelation from network entity transmissions. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for wireless communication are provided. An example method may include establishing, with a second UE, a sidelink connection. The example method may further include communicating, with the second UE, a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) transmission carrying a PSCCH payload and a set of demodulation reference signal (DM RS) pilots, the PSCCH payload and the set of DM RS pilots being modulated based on a same cyclic shift (CS).

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Various aspects relate generally to labeling of modulation constellations. Some aspects more specifically relate to signaling to support selection of labeling configurations of modulation constellations. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) transmits capability information indicating one or more capabilities relating to selection of a labeling configuration that indicates labels for symbols of a modulation constellation. A network node may transmit an indication of a labeling configuration in accordance with the capability information. The labeling configuration, in some examples, may include a Gray labeling configuration that is configured to improve polar coding performance.

Method and apparatus for reduced signaling overhead in PAPR reduction techniques. The apparatus receives, from a transmitter, a signal comprising a set of overhead bits associated with a PAPR reduction sequence applied to a data signal from the signal, wherein the set of overhead bits are distinct from data symbols corresponding to the data signal. The apparatus decodes the set of overhead bits to identify the PAPR reduction sequence applied to the data signal from the signal. The apparatus removes the PAPR reduction sequence applied to the data signal. The apparatus decodes a remaining set of symbols of the data symbols from the signal, wherein the remaining set of symbols are free of the PAPR reduction sequence.

Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for wireless communication are provided. An example method may include receiving a communication from a second wireless device. The example method may further include demodulating the communication based on a combination of lattice reduction (LR) and per-stream recursive demapping (PSRD). The method may further include transforming a first subset of received stream signals in the set of stream signals to a complex integer domain (Z domain) and processing, based on the LR, the first subset of received stream signals in the set of stream signals in the Z domain. The method may further include transforming the processed first subset of received stream signals in the set of stream signals in the Z domain to a set of X domain vectors in an X domain.

Method and apparatus for compression in wireless communication systems. The apparatus compresses a signal based on an encoder scheme, wherein an encoded signal comprises at least a first CRC associated with a prediction index and a second CRC associated with a prediction information component. The apparatus transmits, to a second wireless device, the encoded signal comprising at least the first CRC associated with the prediction index and the second CRC associated with the prediction information component. The apparatus may be configured to compress the signal such that the signal comprises one or more parity bits, where the one or more parity bits correspond to a difference between a frame of the signal and at least one subsequent frame of the signal.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitter device may encode information for a message using a spinal code. The transmitter device may divide the information into sets of bits each including a variable quantity k of bits, and map the sets of bits to symbols to generate a message. The transmitter device may transmit the symbols in an order based on the k values (symbols with smaller k values at the beginning of the message and larger k values at the end). Based on receiving the message, a receiver device may identify the k of each symbol and decode the symbols. The receiver device may identify a partial codeword or determine a likelihood of error associated with the message, which the receiver device may indicate via a feedback message. The transmitter device may retransmit a portion of the message based on the feedback.

A method of wireless communication by a receiver, includes predicting, with an artificial neural network, at each data block of a set of data blocks, a least complex set of demodulator parameters that will achieve a goal, based on features of a data block expected to be received. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication to a network entity that the UE is capable of decoding Reed-Solomon codes and that the UE is capable of performing near maximal likelihood demodulation. The network entity may transmit a message indicating that a Reed-Solomon code is applied to one or more scheduled signals based at least in part on the indication. The network entity may apply Reed-Solomon coding to a signal of the one or more scheduled signals based at least in part on the message. The UE may apply near maximal likelihood demodulation and Reed-Solomon decoding to a received signal of the one or more scheduled signals based at least in part on the message.
