A flange includes a flange body annularly disposed about a longitudinal axis. The flange body includes a first radial side and a second radial side radially opposite the first radial side. The flange body defines a first fastener hole and a circumferentially adjacent second fastener hole formed through the flange body. A first shielding zone has at least a portion of the first shielding zone located between the first and second fastener holes. A first shielding feature is disposed in the first shielding zone.

Flange stress-reduction features

A hot fairing structure for a pre-diffuser includes a ring-strut-ring structure that comprises a multiple of hollow struts; and a multiple of diffusion passage ducts attached to the ring-strut-ring structure. A pre-diffuser for a gas turbine engine includes an exit guide vane ring having a multiple of exit guide vanes defined around an engine longitudinal axis; a ring-strut-ring structure adjacent to the exit guide vane ring to form a multiple of diffusion passages defined around the engine longitudinal axis, an inlet to each of the multiple of diffusion passages smaller than an exit from each of the multiple diffusion passage through the ring-strut-ring structure; a diffusion passage duct attached to the ring-strut-ring structure at the exit from each of the multiple diffusion passage.

Pre-diffuser for a gas turbine engine

A hot fairing structure for a pre-diffuser includes a ring-strut-ring structure that comprises a multiple of hollow struts and a multiple of inlets to a respective diffusion passage, one of the multiple of inlets formed between each one of the multiple of hollow struts located between two diffusion passages.

A dual locking assembly for straps, which has a lock assembly having first and second strap passages positioned opposite each other, and a strap assembly having a strap. The lock assembly and the strap assembly are reusable. The lock assembly is rectangular in shape. The first and second strap passages have first and second locking tabs respectively. The first and second locking tabs are specularly positioned. The strap has first and second ends, and first and second faces, whereby the first face has serrations. The strap assembly is inserted through the lock assembly, whereby a first section of the strap is used to secure an item or a plurality of items while a second section of the strap is cut to be reused. When the strap assembly is inserted through the lock assembly, the serrations are at the outer side of the strap.

Dual locking assembly for straps

An apparatus and method for reducing the vibrations to a transition duct and improving the assembly and fit-up of a transition duct relative to a combustion system are disclosed. A damping member is provided between the transition duct and its mounting points to the gas turbine engine. The damping member comprises one or more layers of a composite material positioned between layers of sheet metal. An adjustable mounting system is also provided for the transition duct to allow for movement of a transition duct relative to the combustion liner.

Method and apparatus for mounting a transition duct in a gas turbine engine

A pre-diffuser for a gas turbine engine includes an exit guide vane ring having a multiple of exit guide vanes defined around an engine longitudinal axis; a hot fairing structure adjacent to the exit guide vane ring to define a multiple of diffusion passages around the engine longitudinal axis; an outer radial interface between a radial outer surface of the hot fairing structure and the exit guide vane ring, the outer radial interface being a full hoop structure; and an anti-rotation feature between the hot fairing structure and the exit guide vane ring, the anti-rotation features inboard of the multiple of diffusion passages.
