Improvements to airborne weather radar systems onboard an aircraft that apply forecasting modeling techniques to output a forecast of future 3-dimensional (3D) radar reflectivity returns, forecasted composite radar image data, forecasted changes to potentially hazardous weather cells, including forecasts of future expected hail size and forecast which regions of airspace may be associated with future convective storms. The range of the forecast may be limited to approximately the range of the weather radar, which may be a few hundred nautical miles. Depending on the type and speed of the aircraft, the forecast duration may be approximately thirty minutes or less, e.g., the amount of time to reach the limits of the radar range.

A system that allows a contractor to remotely monitor and/or interact with its customers' building control systems, such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and analyze information obtained from the building control systems over time. Such a system may help the contractor monitor and diagnosis customer building control systems, setup service calls, achieve better customer relations, create more effective marketing opportunities, as well as other functions. In some cases, the disclosed system may include a controller that analyzes data from HVAC systems, determines a thermal model of a space environmentally controlled by an HVAC system, and provides an energy audit of the space that is environmentally controlled by the HVAC system. In some examples, a system includes a memory configured to store a first image and a second image captured by one or more cameras mounted on one or more vehicles and store locations and orientations of the one or more cameras at times when the first and second images were captured. The system also includes processing circuitry configured to identify an existing landmark in the first and second images. The processing circuitry is also configured to determine a latitude, a longitude, and an altitude of the existing landmark based on the locations and orientations of the one or more cameras at the times when the images were captured. The processing circuitry is configured to create a file including the location of the existing landmark and pixel coordinates of the existing landmark in the first and second images.

The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for mapping a building space using wearable devices in order to better control the comfort level in the building. In some instances, a system compiles information such as temperature information that is provided by an individual's wearable device as the individual moves about the building over time. Using this data, the system may create and/or update a comfort map of the building, which can be used to determine how various rooms of the building heat and cool over time, as well as usage pattern of the various rooms of the building. The system can then use the comfort map of the building to better control one or more comfort sources of the building.

A visual search assistance system and related operating method are disclosed. An exemplary embodiment of the method dynamically determines a desired line-of-sight vector from an occupant of a vehicle to a visual target, and dynamically determines, with an onboard tracking system of the vehicle, an actual line-of-sight vector for the occupant of the vehicle. The actual line-of-sight vector is temporally associated with the desired line-of-sight vector. The method compares the actual line-of-sight vector against the desired line-of-sight vector to obtain a difference measurement, and generates a notification when the obtained difference measurement exceeds a threshold value. The notification provides guidance to redirect a gaze direction of the occupant toward the visual target.

A system receives an identification number from a subject. The system retrieves a biometric measurement from a database using the identification number. The database includes biometric measurements of a plurality of subjects. Each biometric measurement is determined from a location of a particular subject's body, each biometric measurement is associated with a particular identification number, and each particular identification number is associated with a particular subject. When the use of the identification number results in a retrieval of a biometric measurement from the biometric database, the system searches a plurality of locations on the subject and takes biometric measurements at the locations, compares the retrieved biometric measurement from the biometric database with the biometric measurements of the subject, and indicates that the retrieved biometric measurement from the biometric database matches one or more of the biometric measurements from the subject or that the retrieved biometric measurement from the biometric database does not match any of the biometric measurements from the subject. In an embodiment, the system is used for verification purposes, not identification purposes.
