The invention relates to a device for selectively blocking a fluid passage, particularly for a tap-filling intake, including a structure defining a channel for the passage of a fluid extending between an inlet at an upstream end and an outlet at a downstream end, a valve seat, a valve selectively mobile in the channel between a first position for blocking the passage by sealingly bearing on the seat and a second position for opening the passage in which the valve is not sealingly bearing on the seat, wherein the blocking device includes a deformable seal, supported by the mobile valve and/or the seat, for bearing against the seat and ensuring the seal of the blocking when the valve is in the first position, characterized in that the mobile valve includes a main body and a stop mobile relative to the main body, the main body and the mobile abutment defining a mechanism for selectively pressurizing the seal and movable between a working position for pressuring the seal for increasing the force thereof on the seat and a rest position in which the pressure on the seal is released so as to reduce the force thereof on the seat.

Device for selectively blocking a fluid passage

An integrated valve assembly and apparatus. The assembly has a main body that includes () an internal gas passage for conveying gas between a gas inlet and a gas outlet; () a gas expansion means placed in the internal gas passage between the gas inlet and the gas outlet; () and a locking valve that is used for controlling the release of the gas. Also included is a rotary actuator that can be operated by the user. This rotary actuator includes a blocking means that acts on the rotary actuator to prevent rotation of the rotary actuator. The integrated valve assembly may be used in a portable equipment unit that includes a compressed-oxygen bottle on which the valve assembly is mounted, and may optionally include a protective shroud for protecting the assembly and a demand valve connected to oxygen therapy nose clips, to a flowmeter or to any other similar device.

The assembly includes a body in which there is formed a bore (3) for letting in gas under pressure, containing an isolation valve (4) exposed to the gas under pressure, at least one pressure reducer (5), an element (9) for selecting and regulating the flow rate through at least one outlet (8) for gas at reduced pressure, and a tubular member (11) for controlling the isolation valve sitting on top of the body. The isolation valve is a spool (4) which can be moved back and forth in a transverse housing (26) in the body and the opposite ends of which interact directly with curved guide ramps (18, 19) formed by the tubular control member. The direct control of the isolation spool (4) by turning the tubular member (11) simplifies the architecture of the assembly and reduces the manufacturing and servicing costs thereof. The assembly is useful in transporting bottles of gas, especially of medical oxygen.
