Methods and systems for coordinating task zones at a public safety incident scene. One system includes an electronic computing device that includes an electronic processor configured to determine a first task to be performed by a first public safety officer and a second task to be performed by a second public safety officer. The electronic processor establishes a first geofence for the first task and a second geofence for the second task. In response to determining that the second geofence at least partially overlaps with the first geofence, the electronic processor determines whether the first task conflicts with the second task. In response to determining that the first task conflicts with the second task, the electronic processor modifies the first task and provides an instruction to a communication device of the first public safety officer to indicate that the first task has been modified.

Coordinating task zones at a public safety incident scene

A method and apparatus for adjusting permission settings associated with one or more network-based resources on a communication device. A graphical user interface is associated with a first user profile and is displayed on the communication device. A fingerprint entry is received on the communication device. The fingerprint entry is identified as associated with a second user profile that is authorized to change permission settings for the one or more network-based resources. The permission settings of the communication device are changed for the one or more network-based resources after identifying the fingerprint entry as associated with the second user profile.

System and method for modifying permissions associated with network-based resources via fingerprint entry on communication devices

A method and apparatus for managing power for devices that may be part of a group is provided herein. During operation a power-management device will transmit a power-management message to a device or group of devices. The message indicates a time period (keep-alive time) and critical services that are to be kept operating for the keep-alive time. In response, the device(s) that receive the message may transmit an information message indicating whether or not a device has enough power to run the services for the keep-alive time.
