A flexible sunscreen is provided intended for use in a sunshade assembly of the type comprising a flexible sunscreen having a central part and two opposed inwardly folded longitudinal edge flaps connected to the central part by means of folding lines, and two opposed longitudinal guides for receiving therein and guiding corresponding ones of the inwardly folded longitudinal edge flaps of the flexible sunscreen, which guides are provided with locking members for engaging an outer end of the inwardly folded longitudinal edge flaps for preventing these edge flaps from moving out of the longitudinal guides. The central part of the flexible sunscreen mainly is manufactured from a first material with a first stiffness wherein of the inwardly folded longitudinal edge flaps and of the parts of the central part adjacent the edge flaps at least part is made of a second material with a second higher stiffness.

Flexible sunscreen and sunshade assembly provided therewith

A guide is presented intended for use in a sunshade assembly of the type comprising a flexible sunscreen having opposed longitudinal edges and two opposed longitudinal guides each comprising at least two spaced guide legs for defining there between a guide channel for receiving therein and guiding corresponding ones of the opposed longitudinal edges of the sunscreen. The guides and longitudinal edges are provided with cooperating guide locking members and edge locking members for preventing the longitudinal edges of the sunscreen from moving out of the guide channels. The guide locking members are defined on separate parts engaging the guides.

Guide and sunshade assembly provided therewith

A winding mechanism for a sunscreen, for use in an open roof construction for a vehicle, includes a winding shaft which is supported at each longitudinal end to a stationary part of the open roof construction and forming a central axis for rotation. A winding tube for the sunscreen is rotatable around the central axis. At least one spring member is configured to bias the winding tube in a direction for winding the sunscreen thereon. The spring member is arranged adjacent to an inner surface of the winding tube and an outer surface of the winding shaft. At least one sleeve is configured to engage the spring member and inhibit noise from the spring member. The sleeve comprises an inner surface and an outer surface, wherein the at least one sleeve is connected along its inner surface to the winding shaft or along its outer surface to the winding tube.

Winding mechanism for a sunscreen

A flexible sunscreen is provided intended for use in a sunshade assembly of the type comprising a flexible sunscreen having a central part and two opposed inwardly folded longitudinal edges connected to the central part by means of folding lines, and two opposed longitudinal guides for receiving therein and guiding corresponding ones of the inwardly folded longitudinal edges of the flexible sunscreen, which guides are provided with locking members for engaging an outer end of the inwardly folded longitudinal edges for preventing these edges from moving out of the longitudinal guides. The central part of the flexible sunscreen mainly is manufactured from a first material with a first stiffness wherein of the inwardly folded longitudinal edges and of the parts of the central part adjacent the edges at least part is made of a second material with a second higher stiffness.

A sunshade assembly includes a flexible sunscreen and two opposed longitudinal guides for guiding longitudinal edges of the sunscreen. A rotatable winding shaft winds and unwinds the sunscreen. An operating beam is connected to the opposite transversal edge of the sunscreen. Two drive cables are connected to opposite ends of the operating beam. Two positioning members move with the operating beam. Each positioning member extends into a corresponding one of the opposed longitudinal guides. Each of the opposed longitudinal edges of the sunscreen near the opposite transversal edge is provided with a wing folded inward in a direction away from the respective positioning member, so that the wing and the respective positioning member are on opposite sides of the sunscreen. The wing accessible to the respective positioning member from the opposite side of the flexible sunscreen in order to engage the respective positioning member.

Sunshade assembly and open roof construction provided therewith

A sunshade assembly comprises a flexible sunscreen having opposed longitudinal edges and opposed transversal edges, a rotatable winding shaft and an operating beam and two opposed longitudinal guides each defining a guide channel for receiving therein and guiding inwardly through an entrance opening folded parts of corresponding ones of said longitudinal edges of the sunscreen. The operating beam at opposite ends includes positioning members around which inwardly folded wings of the longitudinal edges of the sunscreen are positioned. The positioning members extend into corresponding ones of said longitudinal guides longitudinally in a direction towards the winding shaft such that the positioning members only at a leading end thereof facing away from the winding shaft are connected to the operating beam and are movable with the operating beam. Each positioning member is positioned entirely within the respective guide channel without extending through the entrance opening.

Sunshade assembly

A rollable screen comprises a rotatable winding tube for a screen mounted for rotation in a stationary mounting assembly and a spring for loading said winding tube in a direction for winding the screen onto the winding tube. A first end of said spring is connected to the winding tube and a second end is connected to a mounting part positioned within the winding tube and connected to the stationary mounting assembly. Said mounting part comprises projecting locking elements for cooperation with corresponding locking members of the mounting assembly and for a rotation relative thereto between a first rotational position in which the mounting part can be inserted in or removed from the mounting assembly, and a second rotational position in which the locking elements and locking members prevent any translational movement of the rollable screen relative to the stationary mounting assembly.

Rollable screen assembly

An open roof construction for a vehicle comprising a roof opening provided in the roof of the vehicle which can be closed by means of a foldable assembly. A flow-influencing panel is pivotable outwardly from a position substantially in line with the roof towards an inclined position and which panel, as seen in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, is positioned at a leading end of the roof opening. The panel, in a position in line with the roof, and the closure assembly, in a position closing the roof opening, mutually overlap.
