A method of forming a three-dimensional object comprises the steps of forming a layer of a particulate composition, selectively depositing a liquid composition onto the layer of the particulate composition in accordance with computer data corresponding to the shape of at least a portion of a three-dimensional object, and repeating the steps a plurality of times to form a three-dimensional object. The particulate composition comprises a plurality of first particles that comprise a resin component comprising a first resin, the first resin comprising a first resin polymerizable group. Either or both of the particulate composition and the liquid composition comprise an initiator capable of initiating polymerization of at least the first resin. At least the first resin undergoes melting and polymerization in a plurality of the locations where the liquid composition has been selectively deposited.

The invention relates to an one-component (1 K) thermosetting powder coating composition A (PCC A). Polymers, processes, compositions and uses

Polymers and methods of making the same are described whereby the polymers generically include one or more units each of which necessarily has a 1,2,4-substituted cyclohexane group or a 1,1,2,4-substituted cyclohexane group. According to specific disclosures herein, polymers and methods of making the same are described whereby the polymers have one or more S1 units represented by the formula: wherein n is an integer equal to or higher than 1, m is 0 or 1, A is H or CH, and wherein each of X and Y is a specifically defined group.

A branched carboxylic acid functional polyester resin P is described herein along with thermosetting powder coating compositions (PCC A) comprising a binder K, the binder K comprising the polyester resin P and a crosslinker X. The invention further relates to a cured PCC A. In addition, processes for making said PCC A and processes for coating an article with said PCC A are described as well as articles having coated thereon the PCC A and an articles having coated and cured thereon the PCC A.

Matt powder coatings

The present invention relates to a an imide compound according to anyone of formulas Ia, Ib, Ic, or Ie wherein R1 is H or a C1-C20 optionally substituted hydrocarbon group; both R2 and R5 are a COOH group or one of R2 and R5 is a COOH group while the other substituent is H, methyl or ethyl group; R3 and R4 are independently H, or C1-C20 optionally substituted hydrocarbon group; R6 is H or a methyl group; R7 and R8 are independently H, methyl or ethyl. 

Polyfunctional compounds

The invention relates to a resin composition comprising at least an organophosphorous compound and a branched amorphous carboxylic acid functional polyester, said polyester having a Tof at least 40&#xb0; C., said polyester comprising at least 1 to 45% mol of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol; a Cto Caliphatic diol AD1 not including 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol; a Cto Caliphatic or cycloaliphatic diol AD2; 0.1 to 10% mol of an at least trifunctional monomer; 1 to 55% mol of terephthalic acid, wherein the % mol is based on the polyester. The powder coatings of the present invention derived upon curing at low temperature of the thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention that were storage stable and comprised said resin composition and a crosslinker having functional groups that are reactive with the carboxylic acid groups of the polyester, have limited or no blooming, good smoothness sufficient reverse impact resistance and preferably have also good degassing limit.

Resin compositions for thermosetting powder coating compositions

The present invention relates to a polyester resin obtained by reaction in a process (I) between the following components A to E to obtain a polyester P (the polyester comprising an alkyd resin and/or a saturated polyester resin), where (A) Component A (also referred to herein as the Imide and/or Imide Component) comprises one or more cyclic imides of Formula (1); where R' represents a divalent optionally substituted saturated Corgano moiety; and R represents H or a monovalent optionally substituted saturated Corgano moiety; (A&#x2032;) Optional Component A&#x2032; comprises saturated dicarboxylic acid and/or saturated hydroxyacid and that is not optional in case component A does not comprise a dicarboxylic acid or a hydroxyacid; 1(B) Component B (also referred to herein as the Polyol and/or Polyol Component) comprises at least one saturated polyhydric alcohol; (C) Optional Component C (also referred to herein as the Rosin and/or Rosin Component) comprises naturally occurring rosin, the rosin comprising from 40 to 80 parts per hundred by weight of rosin of an unsaturated mono carboxylic acid comprising at least one Ccyclohydrocarbo moiety capable of undergoing a Diels Alder or Ene reaction; (D) Optional Component D (also referred to herein as the Fatty Acid and/or Fatty Acid Component) comprises at least one linear Chydrocarbo carboxylic acid optionally comprising at least two linoleically unsaturated double bonds; 2(E) Optional Component E (also referred to as the Other Component E) which may comprise at least one monofunctional or polyfunctional monomer other than any of Components A to D.
