The invention relates to improved non-efflorescing cement-free and water-dispersible powder building material compositions comprising a homopolymer or copolymer as binder, useful for the preparation of wet formulations of plasters grouts, waterproofing coatings or mortars for the construction and the civil engineering industry. The binder is obtained by spray-drying or lyophilization of a dispersion containing a polymer and a protective colloid. These compositions also comprise a deprotection agent and a specific adsorbent filler. The invention also refers to the methods of preparation of these dry compositions and wet formulations, the application of these latter onto the surface of buildings or civil engineering works, the so obtained coatings as well as the so coated elements. The hardened products obtained therefrom are remarkably water-resistant, non efflorescent and easy to obtain.

Redispersible dry composition of polymer finishes or other products for the construction

The invention relates to a dry composition for the preparation of a wet formulation for the construction industry. The aim of the invention is to provide a dry composition that results in hardened products for the construction industry having an excellent compromise between its lightweight properties and mechanical properties; optimizing the hydration of the binder; and making possible a stable lightweight property without excessive increase in volume. To this end, the composition according to the invention is based on a mineral binder (a) and incorporates at least one SuperAbsorbent Polymer (SAP) (b) and an accelerator component (c), characterized in that it comprises at least one source of aluminum ions and, optionally, (d) a setting retarder, (e) an additional setting accelerator; (f) a water-retaining agent; (g) a filler; (h) a lightweight filler, (i) a water repellent; (j) a coloring agent; (k) fibers; (l) an anti-foaming agent; (m) a redispersible powder resin; (n) a rheological agent; (o) an air-entraining or foaming agent; (p) a gas-generating agent; (q) a fire retardant. The wet formulation obtained by mixing this dry composition with water, the methods for preparing this dry composition and the corresponding wet formulation, the construction products obtained from the wet formulation and the structures produced with these products, are other subjects of the invention.

Dry composition based on mineral binder and intended for the preparation of a hardenable wet formulation for the construction industry

The invention relates to the use of a mixture comprising a mineral binder (a) and at least one SuperAbsorbent Polymer (SAP) (b), in order to improve the thermal insulation characteristics of a hardened product intended for the construction industry, by reducing its thermal conductivity &#x3bb; (W&#xb7;m&#x2212;1&#xb7;K&#x2212;1), this hardened product being obtained from a dry composition or a wet formulation comprising this mixture. The dry composition, the wet formulation obtained by mixing this dry composition with water, the methods for preparing this dry composition and the corresponding wet formulation, the hardened construction products obtained from the wet formulation and the structures produced with these products, are other subjects of the invention.
