The present invention deals with a multilayer structure comprising a first polyethylene layer as a first external layer. The first polyethylene layer is oriented in at least machine direction. The structure also comprises a second polyethylene layer as a second external layer. It further comprises a layer made of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol (EVOH) between the first external layer and the second external layer and a tie layer on each side EVOH layer. Furthermore, the tie layers comprise one or more copolymers of ethylene.

The present invention deals with a multilayer structure comprising a first polyethylene layer as a first external layer. The first polyethylene layer is oriented in at least machine direction. The structure also comprises a second polyethylene layer as a second external layer. It further comprises a layer made of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol (EVOH) between the first external layer and the second external layer and a tie layer on each side of the EVOH layer. Furthermore, the tie layers comprise one or more copolymers of ethylene.

A machine direction oriented film comprising a multimodal copolymer of ethylene and at least two alpha-olefin-comonomers having: a) a density of from 906 to 925 kg/mdetermined according to ISO 1183, b) an MFRof 10-200 g/10 min determined according to ISO1133, wherein the multimodal copolymer of ethylene comprises c) a first copolymer of ethylene and a first alpha-olefin comonomer having 4 to 10 carbon atoms; and d) a second copolymer of ethylene having an alpha-olefin comonomer different from the first copolymer, said second alpha-olefin comonomer having 6 to 10 carbon atoms.

A process for collation shrink wrapping an object that may include a number of individual product containers, preferably substantially identical product containers. The process may include the steps of (i) obtaining a collation shrink film that may include a multimodal linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), the film being a stretched film that is uniaxially oriented in the machine direction (MD) in a draw ratio of at least 1:3, (ii) wrapping the object in the film, and (iii) heating the object wrapped in the film in order to collation shrink the film around the object.
