The present invention relates to random copolymers obtainable by polymerization, the use of said random copolymers as soil release agents in laundry processes. Further aspects of the invention are a method for easier releasing soil from textiles in laundry processes and detergents containing said random copolymers.

Random copolymers as soil release agents in laundry processes

Described are block copolymers which have been prepared by controlled free radical polymerization. Also described is the use of said block copolymers as soil release agents in laundry processes and a process to produce said block copolymers. Further described is a method for easier releasing soil from textiles in laundry processes and a detergent containing said block copolymers.

Block copolymers as soil release agents in laundry processes

The application describes a liquid washing or cleaning agent comprising a) an alkoxylated oxo alcohol with 7 or 8 alkoxy units and b) a polymer with a soil detachment capacity. The liquid washing or cleaning agent exhibits elevated cleaning performance, in particular on greasy soiling, and improved graying inhibition.

The present invention relates to acrylate copolymers as soil antiredeposition agents and soil release agents in laundry processes. Further aspects of the invention are a method for preventing soil redeposition and for easier releasing soil from textiles in laundry processes and detergent formulations containing said acrylate copolymers.

The invention relates to washing and cleaning agents for washing or cleaning colored textile surface structures, used for improving the color-fastness thereof. The aim was substantially met by adding polymers obtained by the polymerization of benzoxazine monomers to the agent.

A gel capsule, loaded with at least one organic percarboxylic acid is manufactured by the process comprising the steps of: (a) providing an oil having a melting point below 35&#xb0; C. at atmospheric pressure and that is inert towards the organic percarboxylic acid; (b) contacting the oil with at least one stabilizer at a temperature of from 25&#xb0; C. to 50&#xb0; C. to obtain a liquid matrix medium comprising the oil and the stabilizer, (c) optionally cooling the matrix medium resulting from step (b) to a temperature above the gel-formation temperature of the matrix medium; (d) incorporating at least one organic percarboxylic acid in the form of solid particles into the liquid matrix medium obtained in step (b) to form a dispersion of the solid percarboxylic acid in the liquid matrix medium; (e) contacting the matrix medium obtained in process step (d), with a dispersion agent at a temperature below the gel-formation temperature to form gel capsules, wherein the organic percarboxylic acid is incorporated in an oil/stabilizer-gel matrix.
