An electrical contact assembly having a braided Litz wire and an electrical contact. The electrical contact has a contact portion and a Litz wire termination portion. The contact portion is configured to make an electrical connection with a mating contact. The Litz wire termination portion has serrations which engage the braided Litz wire. The Litz wire termination portion has a length to allow the Litz wire termination portion to make an electrical connection with each individual wire of the Litz wire.

Solderless connection to Litz wire

An electrical connector with a wire seal member. The wire seal member has seal member openings which extend through the seal member. Recesses are provided proximate the seal member openings and extend about the circumference of the seal member openings, the recesses extend from a first surface of the seal member in a direction toward a second surface. A rear-loaded cover/retainer is positioned proximate the wire seal member. The cover/retainer has cover/retainer openings, the cover/retainer openings are positioned to align with the seal member openings. The cover/retainer openings have projections which are positioned about the circumference of the cover/retainer openings. Wherein as the projections of the cover/retainer are moved into the recesses of the wire seal member, the projections enter the recesses and cause the seal member openings to interact with and seal the wire conductors.

Electrical connector having a rear seal and a rear-loaded cover/retainer member

An adapter for connecting magnet wires to a harness. A first housing of the adapter is secured to a housing of a motor assembly. The first housing has first terminals which are secured in terminal receiving passages of the first housing. The first terminals have insulation displacing slots and mating portions, with the insulation displacing slots configured for receiving magnet wires therein and the mating portions configured to mate with contacts of a mateable connector attached to the harness. A second housing of the adapter has contact receiving passages with receiving portions which configured to receive the mating portions of the first terminals and mateable connector receiving passages extending from the receiving portions. The mateable connector receiving passages dimensioned to receive the contacts of a mateable connector therein.

Adapter for connecting a harness to magnet wires

A connector assembly including a first connector configured to be movably mounted to a support structure and having a first mating terminal. The first connector is movable with respect to the support structure in an axial direction along an alignment axis. The connector assembly also includes a second connector that is configured to be movably mounted to a support panel and has a second mating terminal. The second connector is movable with respect to the support panel in a radial direction relative to an alignment axis. The second connector shifts in the radial, direction to align the first and second mating terminals when the first and second connectors engage each other in a misaligned manner. The first connector moves between a projected position and a retracted position along the alignment axis to facilitate establishing a communication pathway between the first and second mating terminals.

Connector assembly having two connectors capable of movement in differing directions

A connector assembly for use with a compressible gasket includes a housing having a mating end and a cable end, the housing being configured to hold a contact. The connector assembly also includes a deflectable shroud extending from the housing rearward of the cable end to the compressible gasket. The shroud surrounds a hollow chamber that is configured to receive the compressible gasket. The shroud is deflectable between an expanded state and a collapsed state, wherein a volume of the hollow chamber is reduced when in the collapsed state as compared to the expanded state. The shroud compresses the gasket when in the collapsed state.
