In some aspects, the present disclosure pertains to a multi-arm polymer comprising a core and a plurality of polyoxazoline segments (or arms) having a first end that is covalently attached to the core and a second end comprising a moiety that comprises a reactive group. In some aspects, systems are provided that comprise a first composition comprising such a multi-arm polymer and a second composition comprising a multifunctional compound that comprises functional groups that are reactive with the reactive groups of the multi-arm polymer. In some aspects, systems are provided that comprise crosslinked reaction products of such a multi-arm polymer and such a multifunctional compound.

Multi-armed polyoxazolines and compositions, systems and methods pertaining to the same

Methods of treating a substrate, e.g., forming a coating on the substrate, are described. The method may include applying a solution comprising a multifunctional molecule or a multifunctional-polymer molecule to at least a portion of a surface of the substrate. The surface may comprise a metal or metal alloy and the multifunctional molecule or a multifunctional-polymer molecule may bond to the surface via at least one sulfur group of a plurality of sulfur groups of the multifunctional molecule. The method may include combining the multifunctional molecule with a polymer molecule to form the multifunctional polymer molecule before or after applying the solution. The polymer molecule may bond to an internal carbon group or a terminal sulfur group of the multifunctional molecule.

Coating compositions and related devices and methods

In some aspects, the present disclosure pertains to multi-arm polymers that comprise a core and a plurality of polymer segments having a first end that is covalently attached to the core and (a) a second end comprising a moiety that comprises a reactive end group, wherein the polymer segments comprise one or more hydrophilic aprotic NMP-polymerizable monomers, and wherein the reactive multi-arm polymer comprises nitroxide radicals or (b) a second end comprising a moiety that comprises an alkoxyamine group, wherein the core is a polyol residue, and wherein the polymer segments comprise one or more NMP-polymerizable monomers. Lubricious one-part hydrophilic coatings

According to an aspect of the present invention, at least one ionic therapeutic agent is delivered from an implantable or insertable medical device that comprises an ion-conductive polymeric region that is disposed on a metallic region. The metallic region is in electrical contact with a dissimilar metallic region, such that a galvanic current is generated by the dissimilar metals when the device is implanted or inserted into a patient. Delivery of the ionic therapeutic agent from the ion-conductive polymeric region may be, for example, either accelerated or retarded by the galvanic current. According to another aspect of the present invention, implantable or insertable medical devices are provided which comprise: (a) a first metallic region having a first corrosion potential, (b) a second metallic region in electrical contact with the first metallic region and having a second corrosion potential that is greater than the first corrosion potential, and (c) a solid ion-conductive polymeric region, comprising an ion conducting polymer and an ionic therapeutic agent, disposed on the first metallic region, the second metallic region, or both.
