Extend long term evolution connected state coverage

A device may determine a first signal quality value associated with a wireless signal received by a first antenna of the device, may determine a second signal quality value associated with a wireless signal received by a second antenna of the device, and may determine a combined signal quality value based on the first signal quality value and the second signal quality value. The device may apply an offset value to the first signal quality value to form a modified signal quality value, may compare the combined signal quality value and the modified signal quality value, and may selectively report the modified signal quality value or the combined signal quality value based on comparing the combined signal quality value and the modified signal quality value.

Reporting a modified signal quality value during antenna diversity imbalance

One or more devices may receive attribute information identifying multiple attributes associated with a client device; classify the client device based on the attribute information; and provide, based on classifying the client device, classification information to a network device to cause the network device to associate a particular policy set, of multiple policy sets, with the client device. The classification information may identify a classification of the client device. The particular policy set may be based on the classification of the client device and may include an instruction used to process a data flow provided to or provided from the client device.

Classifying client devices in a network

A wireless communication device may include a logic configured to select a first antenna as a transmitting antenna and a second antenna as a non-transmitting antenna; and to calculate a short-term antenna metric difference between the transmitting antenna and the non-transmitting antenna, a mid-term antenna metric difference between the transmitting antenna and the non-transmitting antenna, and a long-term antenna metric difference between the transmitting antenna and the non-transmitting antenna. The logic may be further configured to switch the second antenna to the transmitting antenna and the first antenna to the non-transmitting antenna, in response to determining that at least one of the calculated short-term antenna metric difference is greater than a short-term threshold, the calculated mid-term antenna metric difference is greater than a mid-term threshold, or the long-term antenna metric difference is greater than a long-term threshold.

A priority allocation system may be adapted to regulate the priority which different users of a wireless mobile communication system are given to one or more of its various services. It may include a priority level data storage system, a priority enforcement system, an administrator interface, and a subscriber interface. The priority data storage system may be configured to store priority information for each of a plurality of subscriber groups. Each subscriber group may be assigned to one or more wireless mobile communication devices. The priority information for each subscriber group may be indicative of one or more priorities relating to use of the mobile communication system by all of the wireless mobile communication devices which are assigned to the subscriber group.

Dynamic priority in wireless mobile communication system

A wireless network modem dock having a case that houses circuitry and a power connector, a data interface, and a user identification reader all connected to the circuitry. In addition, an antenna connector is attached to the case and connected to the circuitry. The circuitry is capable of sending and receiving M2M data through the antenna connector to a wireless network. Further, the case, the circuit, the power connector, the data interface, the user identification reader, and the antenna connector are certified with the wireless network prior to sending or receiving the M2M data.
