A surgical blade package facilitates the mounting of a surgical blade on to the forwardly-projecting cleat on a scalpel handle; and following use in the O.R., the surgical blade package facilitates stripping the used blade off the scalpel for disposal in a sharps container. The cleat is inserted beneath the rear end portion of the blade, and between the blade and the bottom wall of the blade package; and forward and upward movement of the scalpel snaps the blade on to the scalpel in a continuous movement. The opposite procedure is used to demount the used blade from the scalpel and encase it in the original blade package for disposal in a sharps container.

Surgical blade package

A device for dilating and propping open a patient's jaws. The device includes a pair of outwardly-extending upper arms and a pair of outwardly extending lower arms. Each of the arms has a respective distal end which as a pad pivotally mounted thereon which contacts the patient's jaws during use thereof, and a respective proximal end which is pivotably secured to the housing. Means is provided for pivoting the distal ends of the upper arms towards and away from the distal end of the lower arms such that the distal ends move substantially arcuately between the open and closed positions. A worm and worm wheel arrangement is provided for pivoting the arms, such that the spacing therebetween is infinitely variable.

Articulating mouth-prop device for use in the diagnosis and/or treatment

A device for dilating and propping open a patient's jaws. The device includes a pair of outwardly-extending upper arms and a pair of outwardly extending lower arms. A license plate frame assembly is disclosed for displaying and projecting a vehicle license plate or identification tag. The assembly includes a generally rectangular frame with a rearwardly extending wall portion and an open center portion. A transparent plate abuts the frame and is confined within the wall portion to cover the open center. A rear panel, also confined within the wall portion, sandwiches the license plate between the transparent plate and the rear panel. The frame is secured from the rear portion thereof, fasteners being extended through a generally planar surface thereof, thereby preventing its unauthorized removal.

A workpiece receiving and positioning device is disclosed which, in combination with a clamp member, holds a workpiece in a selected orientation relative to a slotted machine tool table surface or the like for milling or machining the workpiece. The device includes a main body portion, a block portion with opposed side faces extending from the body portion, thereby forming a recess therebetween for receiving the workpiece, and a base portion depending from the body portion and engagable with the slots in the table surface. Fasteners are provided to secure the base portion within the slots, and the clamp member includes a fasteners disposed in opposing relationship with the opposed side faces for holding the workpiece against the opposed side faces.

Workpiece receiving and positioning device for machining operations

A precision workpiece positioner in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped has divided extensions projecting beyond one surface thereof for entry into the mouth of a locator slot in a machine tool table. Tapered expanders spread the divided extensions into positive engagement with the mouth of the slot. A screw engaged with the workpiece positioner draws a T-nut into tight locking engagement with the table which has a T-cross section. The positioner may be used in association with a workpiece clamp or plural positioners engaged in parallel table slots can align longer workpieces for machining.
