An analyzer system may include a computer-apparatus to collect traces from a pool of business traces, and to assign an unique vector value to each trace. The system may also include an assembler to create a tree based upon the unique vector value of each trace. The system may further include an analyzer to detect sub-trees within the tree to identify similarities among the traces based upon the traces inclusion within a given sub-tree.

Systems and methods for data analysis include correlating event data to provide process instances. The process instances are clustered, using a processor, by representing the process instances as strings and determining distances between strings to form a plurality of clusters. One or more metrics are computed on the plurality of clusters to monitor deviation of the event data.

A system and method for providing symbolic mode checking of business application requirements. A language allows for building a model for the business process, the model comprising a plurality of actions, with each action having a precondition and a postcondition or outcome. Specifications are constructed for the properties of the business applications with the specifications describing both the states of the business process and the order in which they may occur. Finally, the model and the specifications are analyzed to determine if the model satisfies the specifications. If the model fails to satisfy the specifications, a problem may be indicated in the business application. The process can be automated to permit the system to make assumptions for conducting a thorough analysis of selected potential problem areas in the application.

Method and apparatus for providing symbolic mode checking of business application requirements

A method and system are disclosed for manipulating a model, where that model represents some or all of a design. The design includes a multitude of design elements, the model includes a multitude of model elements, and each of the design elements is represented by a single model element. The method comprises the steps of generating a suite of documents from the model, each of the documents describing a view of the model; and displaying the documents to a user as a series of forms. The user provides information to the forms to change the documents, and changes to the documents result in both changes to the model and consistent changes across the suite of documents. In the preferred embodiment, the model identifies specific relationships between the elements of the model, and each of the model elements has defined properties.

Manipulating design models by editing generated reports

An apparatus includes a data processing system for generating and displaying a semantic type concordance. The data processing system includes memory storing a computer program, a display to display data of a concordance generated by the program, and a processor configured to execute the computer program. The computer program includes instructions for displaying a user interface configured to enable a user to select semantic types and specify at least one text document, generating a concordance of the at least one document based on the semantic types, and displaying data of the generated concordance on the display.

Semantically aware, dynamic, multi-modal concordance for unstructured information analysis

A semantic query over a corpus of data is constructed using a graphical user interface to create an aggregation of graphical representations of annotations associated with a plurality of data elements contained within the corpus of data and graphical representations of search terms contained within the plurality of data elements. The aggregation includes at least one annotation and at least one search term. The relative positions of the graphical representations of the annotations and the search terms are manipulated within the aggregation within the graphical user interface to express relationships among the annotations and search terms, yielding a visual spatial representation of the semantic query. The annotations, search terms and expressed relationships define the semantic query that is used to search the corpus of data.

Method and process for semantic or faceted search over unstructured and annotated data

A method and system are disclosed for creating a hyperlink together with an associated semantic link between a source entity, and a target entity. The source entity includes descriptive text. The system includes means for selecting text within the source entity, and means for selecting the target entity. Also, means are provided for selecting a type of semantic link, and means are provided for creating a hyperlink between said selected text and said target entity. The system further includes means for creating a semantic link of said type between said source entity and said target entity, including means for including in the hyperlink a reference to said semantic link. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the means for selecting the type of semantic link includes means for prompting a user to select from among a plurality of candidate types of semantic links.

Method and system for creating semantic relationships using hyperlinks

A method for modeling a process includes receiving a plurality of graphs representing processes wherein for each graph. A sequence of process steps of the processes are represented as nodes and edges connecting pairs of nodes represent transitions between process steps. A numeric value representative of graph appearance for each of the plurality of received graphs is calculated. Each of the plurality of received graphs is stored within a tree-like data structure according to its corresponding numeric value. Each of the above steps is performed using a computer system.

Dynamic storage and retrieval of process graphs representative of business processes and extraction of formal process models therefrom

A method for modeling a process includes collecting data pertaining to executed process steps from one or more activity log files. The collected data is parsed to determine a set of process steps that have been performed. An incidence value representing how many times each performed process step follows each of the other performed process steps is determined. A graph representing a model of the executed process by representing each process step that has been performed as a node of the graph and each transition between process steps within each process thread as an edge on the graph is generated. The edges connecting the pairs of nodes are assigned numbers that depend upon the incidence value corresponding to how many times the process step represented by a first node of the pair is followed by the process step represented by a second node of the pair.

Dynamic adaptive process discovery and compliance

A method for predictive analytics in a semi-structured process including receiving traces of the semi-structured process, at least one of the traces including a document content value, determining a process model from the traces, the process model comprising tasks at nodes of the semi-structured process and embodies all possible execution sequences in the process, determining a probabilistic graph including a probability at each of the tasks of the semi-structured process advancing from one task to another task, and combining the process model and probabilistic graph to determine a probabilistic process model including probabilities and strengths of transitions between tasks.

Predicting outcomes of a content driven process instance execution

Receiving from each of a plurality of low level monitor models an outbound event comprising information associated with a respective data source. The information received in each of the outbound events can be collected to a global monitoring context in which the information is automatically aggregated. Via a global cube associated with the global monitoring context, the information can be presented in a report. At least one new outbound event can be received. The new outbound event can include updated information associated with at least one of the data sources. Responsive to receiving the new outbound event, the information presented the report can be updated in real time to reflect the updated information.
