A mechanism is provided for context based search disambiguation using existing category taxonomy. A client provides additional cues for search term disambiguation through the context of the specific user's browser. A bookmark or favorites data structure is sent along with the search term(s) to be disambiguated. The bookmark data structure acts as pre-existing category taxonomy for a clustering search engine to classify the results of the search. A viewed content history may also be sent along with the search terms to be disambiguated. The viewed content history acts as a cue to a clustering search engine to display as more relevant the results that are classified in the same category as the pages sent along with the search terms.

Browser context based search disambiguation using existing category taxonomy

A method, system, and program are provided for managing flexible events within an electronic calendar. A calendaring controller schedules fixed events requiring a fixed time slots and flexible events that are flexible for scheduling over a particular time period for a particular duration, wherein the particular time period is greater than the particular duration. The calendaring controller sets each flexible event at a particular time slot within the particular time period for the particular duration. Responsive to the calendaring controller detecting a request for a new event for an additional time slot overlapping the particular time slot, the calendaring controller repositions the flexible event to at least one other time slot of the particular duration during the particular time period to allow for scheduling the new event during the additional time slot.

Managing flexible events within an electronic calendar

A method and system for autonomic relevancy building using information obtained from clients to improve customer support. Upon receiving a client request for product support information, product support information objects representing the requested product support information in an information library are identified. Relevant product support information corresponding to the identified relevant product support information objects are provided to the client. Data regarding whether or not the information provided to the client is relevant may be obtained from the client through implicit feedback (such as, system usage), explicit feedback (such as, user feedback), metadata information, or any combination thereof. Relevancy associations may be created between the product support information objects based on the relevancy data. Relevancy weights may also be assigned to each relevancy association based on the relevancy data, wherein the relevancy weights designate a certainty of each relevancy association.
