A patty forming machine for forming heated food patties includes a plurality of mold plates connected together to form an endless loop and driven for circulation around the loop. Each mold plate has a cavity having open top and bottom ends. A manifold is above a lower run of the loop and supplies moldable food material to the cavity of the mold plates. A breather plate is positioned below the lower run and below the manifold. Upper and lower ovens are positioned downstream of the manifold and above and below a lower run of the loop. A knockout mechanism is mounted downstream of the upper oven. A lower heater plate may be positioned below and extend along a substantial portion of the lower run for supporting the food material in the mold plates traverse along the lower run. A wash station cleans the mold plates.

Patty forming machine for forming heated food patties

The food product machine with a food supply, a rotary food pump connected to the food supply, a molding mechanism having a mold plate and a knockout drive, and a mold plate reciprocating between a fill and a discharge position. The knockout drive reciprocates a knockout plunger to discharge molded food products from the mold plate, the mold plate being reciprocated between a cavity fill position and a cavity discharge position. The machine includes a manifold connected an outlet of the food pump and having an outlet passageway connected to an inlet of the molding mechanism for filling the cavity of the mold plate. The machine can further include a fill plunger system for increasing the fill pressure of the food mass prior to filling the mold cavities. Plungers extend into the manifold to displace food mass volume and increase the pressure in the manifold.

Patty-forming apparatus with top feed and rotary pump

A jump shuttle conveyor system is configured to receive formed food patties from a molding assembly of a patty forming machine. The system includes a lifting plate and belt assembly coupled to a frame which are configured to be indexed to different vertical positions relative to the frame. Formed food patties are received on a belt of the belt assembly thereon, and can be moved off of the belt onto a transfer shuttle conveyor system. An output conveyor system can be provided to receive the formed food patties.

Shuttle conveyor systems for use with a patty forming machine

A conveyor belt is formed from a loop of material having opposite first and second side edges, and which when laid flat has opposite planar surfaces extending between the first and second edges. First and second sealing protrusions extend outwardly from the outer surface of the loop of material and extending continuously around the outer surface of the loop of material. In use, the sealing protrusions contact a hopper of a food patty forming machine to prevent the leakage of food material from the hopper.

The machine further includes a manifold connected an outlet of the food pump and having an outlet passageway connected to an inlet of the molding mechanism for filling the cavity of the mold plate.

A device for performing micro-operations on a vesicular target, comprising an injection pipette (); a barrel assembly (); and an outer assembly (). The injection pipette, barrel assembly, and outer assembly being designed and situated in relation to each other such that an axial vacuum passage is created between the injection pipette and the barrel assembly, and a radial vacuum passage is created between the barrel assembly and outer assembly, and such vacuum passages are isolated from each other and from atmospheric pressure (FIG.). The device also comprises a means of advancing and withdrawing the distal end of the barrel assembly in relation to the distal end of the outer assembly so as to create a holding well () and a means of advancing the pipette into, and withdrawing the pipette from, a vesicular object.

Device for performing micro-operations on a vesicular object

A patty-forming machine using linear displacement sensors to sense and report the position of hydraulic cylinder rods. The machine enclosure includes double sealed door openings. Mold cover lift rods are cylindrical and utilize annular seals on a top skin of the mechanical compartment. The machine comprises removable floor panels and has an easily accessible swing out electrical enclosure. The machine uses modular I/O blocks for the control solenoids, which are signal connected to a bus block. The bus block communicates between machine control and the solenoids with a single serial cable.

A method for removing material from a vesicular object by securing the object, penetrating the object with a pipette, such pipette having a sealed distal tip and an aperture, advancing said pipette into the object in such a manner as to place the aperture directly adjacent to the material to be removed from the object, applying vacuum inside the pipette thereby drawing the material to be removed from the object into the pipette, and removing the pipette from the object in such a manner as to cut or otherwise separate the material in the pipette from the object thereby leaving the material removed from the object in the pipette while leaving the object undamaged.

A food molding mechanism for a patty-forming machine that uses a servomotor to drive a crank arrangement. The crank arrangement drives a mold plate. The mechanism uses a reducer with a replaceable output shaft. The reducer engages a servomotor utilizing a double enveloping worm gear providing gear enmeshment across an arc portion of the servomotor main gear. A servomotor driven knockout apparatus comprises a cam and lever arrangement. Oil reservoirs for the knock-out cams are substantially sealed in the mold cover.
