A medical answering service, typically live and telephonically-based, integrated with a cloud-based telemedicine model using HIPPA compliant and encrypted communications technology to provide e-Visits between physician/providers and patients. The system provides the physicianor healthcare provider with a unique DID/phone number for their practice, as well as applicable software applications (and hardware, if required) for installation or integration with a phone dialer, texting/SMS applications, and/or email client for later contact and use. A patient calling the unique DID/phone number is received and triaged by the system, which coordinates an e-Visit in a virtual room. The e-Visit may include real time patient measurements taken from remote peripheral devices. System communications with the physician/provider and patient are conducted using up to 4 independent channels of communication.

Integrated telemedicine system

A system for directing and compelling cleaning of the keys of the keyboard by a user carrying out a wipe-down process by detecting the keys as they are pressed during wipe-down, and analyzing the key depression data to determine the thoroughness and completeness of the cleaning cycle.

Keyboard cleaning system

A thermodynamic apparatus, such as a Stirling engine or a Vuilleumier heat pump, has a heat exchanger in which energy is exchanged between a working fluid and an exhaust gas stream. On top of the cylinder of the thermodynamic apparatus is a dome-shaped section. By incorporating the heat exchanger within the dome, the flow paths can be simplified, the number of separate components reduced, and overall weight reduced. Flow passages for the working fluid are embedded in the dome. Channels for the exhaust gases are formed in an outer surface. The passages and the channels are helically arranged, one clockwise and one counter clockwise. The dome can be cast with a core for the casting fabricated via three-dimensional printing. In some embodiments, the dome is made of fiber-reinforced material.

A computer keyboard is designed to accommodate a variety of security features that may be installed in the keyboard during manufacturing, whereby various combinations of devices that impart selected security features or other functions may be assembled. The keyboard assembly includes a base extension for accommodating the security devices, and a number of interchangeable modular tops supporting various discreet input technologies. This modular design is tooled to accommodate different combinations of technologies, such as biometric fingerprint readers, NFC-RFID receivers, auto locking sonar, game cartridges, and connector-supporting modules. Each interchangeable modular top can hold independent modular technology that can be used to construct an integrated device that meets the customer requirements without any substantial modification of the keyboard base or extension.

A terminal for a computer system includes a keyboard incorporating modules for performing two factor authentication (TFA) for log-on of a user. TFA preferably combines a fingerprint scan with the proximity of a previously enrolled Bluetooth device that typically accompanies the user, such as a wireless phone or headset. The keyboard also includes an ultrasonic proximity detector aimed to detect the presence of the user at the keyboard and to terminate log-on when the user leaves the keyboard. The keyboard processor may be used as an encryption engine to encode all keystroke data and authentication/log-on transactions with the computer system.

A modulating array transmitter employing a method that provides for improved power efficiency. The present inventors have observed that for symbols where pairs of power amplifiers of the modulating array transmitter are driven with opposing phases, the pairs of power amplifiers may both be keyed off to conserve prime power. The transmitter has a lookup table for providing a plurality of digital input signals and an on/off keying bit input signal, a plurality of quadraphase power elements that each comprise a modulator coupled to the lookup table and to a reference signal source, and a high efficiency amplifier coupled to a power source. A power combiner combines outputs of the plurality of power elements to produce a quadrature amplitude modulated (QAM) output constellation containing a plurality of symbols. The on/off keying bit input signal is used to key off selected pairs of power amplifiers that are driven with opposing phases and produce certain of the symbols of the constellation. When the selected pairs of power amplifiers are keyed off, prime power provided to the amplifiers of the transmitter is conserved.

An osteosynthetic screw fastener and method of using such fastener is disclosed. When threaded onto an end of a bone screw for securing the screw to fractured bone, the fastener has a bone contacting surface that is alignable, independently of the orientation of the screw shaft, with an orientation of the bone surface adjacent to where the screw shaft exits the bone. The independent alignment of the fastener with the bone surface is due to a ball and socket configuration wherein the ball portion includes a spherical threaded nut and the socket is a cavity within the fastener for retaining the spherical nut. Accordingly, the fastener has an access to a threaded bore of the spherical nut so that the screw shaft can be threaded into the bore and secure the fastener against the bone. Additionally, the fastener's bone contacting surface is relatively large with projections thereon that secure the fastener in a desired orientation on the bone and thereby inhibit the fastener from shifting.

Platinum complexes are disclosed in which the platinum cation is coordinated to heterocyclic sulfur compounds as well as monodentate or bidentate amines. The complexes have the formula: ##STR1## wherein L.sub.1 and L.sub.2 are individually ammonia or monodentate amine ligands or L.sub.1 and L.sub.2 together are a bidentate amine ligand, S* is sulfur and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 taken together with S are thiophene, thiazole, benzothiazole or benzothiophene. These platinum complexes, which have anti-neoplastic activity, are synthesized by reacting sulfonated heterocyclic sulfur compounds with diamines of platinum nitrate.

Bis-platinum complexes having the formula ##STR1## wherein A is a ligand having two pairs of platinum-coordinating acidic groups which are each independently a carboxylate, phenolate, sulfonate or phosphonate group, each said pair being capable of coordinating with a platinum ion to form a 5-10 membered chelate ring; Z is a water-solubilizing group; n is 0 or a positive integer, with the proviso that n is 0 only when at least one of said platinum-coordinating acidic groups is sulfonate or phosphonate or when at least one platinum ion is a Pt(IV) ion; and R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are each independently H or a C.sub.1-20 alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, or alkaryl group, or together form one or more C.sub.1-30 alkylene, cycloalkylene, arylene, aralkylene or alkarylene groups; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, are used as readily water-soluble antitumor agents in antitumor therapy against tumors susceptible to treatment with a platinum complex.

##STR1## 4-Carboxyphthalato(1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) (and alkali metal salts thereof) has shown antileukemic activity in mice against murine leukemia L1210. It is effective in dosages of 5-60 mg/kg of body weight and is potentiated in a treatment with cyclophosphamide (CY) (50 mg/kg of body weight) to which may be added 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) (75 mg/kg of body weight) or hydroxyurea (HU) (1000 mg/kg of body weight). Some previous platinum chelate compounds show dosage limitation due to renal impairment but the free carboxyl of the present Pt compound offers a possible route of oral administration and absorption by the stomach. The Pt compound may be prepared by reacting the known dichloro(1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) (NSC 194814) with silver nitrate to replace chloro with nitro. Subsequently, benzene tricarboxylic acid is added to form an off-white precipitate (2 hrs, dark, 5.degree. C.) of the desired product which is preferably utilized as the alkali metal salt. The 4-carboxyphthalato(1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II) and alkali metal salts thereof may be combined in multiple drug regimen with substantially improved yield cures over the parent compound. For example, the compound denoted Pt-307 may be combined in a dual regimen with cyclophosphamide (CY) and in a triple drug regimen of Pt-307 plus cyclophosphamide (CY) and either 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) or hydroxyurea (HU) as the third component. Additionally, the present compound (NSC 271674) has shown superior results in testing for renal toxicity against the parent compound (NSC 119875, cis-dichlorodiamino platinum II) and further the present compound appears to be active against strains of murine leukemia wherein the same NSC 119875 has exhausted its activity.
