An improved apparatus for physiotherapy includes a lever arm. A biasing device pivotally biases the lever arm about a pivot axis. There is a support configured for supporting the lever arm above an exercise equipment. A harness is configurable on a torso of a user to couple the user to the lever arm. The pivot axis corresponds to an anatomical longitudinal axis of the user and the torso of the user is biased by the lever arm about the anatomical longitudinal axis.

Apparatus and method for physiotherapy

An improved method of physiotherapy includes providing a lever arm rotatable about a vertical axis over an exercise equipment, a user engaging the lever arm while using the exercise equipment, and loading muscles of a user with a torque acting substantially about the vertical axis from the user rotating the lever arm about the vertical axis. The lever arm can be biased in a clockwise direction or a counter-clockwise direction relative to the lever arm. The vertical axis can be aligned with a longitudinal axis of the user or offset therefrom.

Exercise apparatus and method of physiotherapy

An improved exercise equipment including a stationary exercise apparatus, a lever arm pivotably biased about a pivot axis, and a support for supporting the lever arm above the stationary exercise apparatus. The pivot axis extends substantially in a vertical direction. The stationary exercise apparatus is of a type to cause the legs of a user to scissor as the user operates the stationary exercise apparatus. In an exemplary embodiment, the stationary exercise apparatus is a treadmill.

A support supports the lever arm above the stationary exercise apparatus, and a biasing device rotatably biases the lever arm with respect to the support about the pivot axis. An apparatus and method estimate fluid mass in a cryogenic tank that holds a multiphase fluid comprising a liquid and a vapor. The apparatus comprises a level sensor, a pressure sensor and a computer. The level sensor provides a parameter representative of a level of the liquid. The pressure sensor provides a pressure signal representative of vapor pressure inside the cryogenic tank. The computer is operatively connected with the level sensor and the pressure sensor to receive the parameter and the pressure signal, and is programmed to determine the level from inputs comprising the parameter, to calculate a first volume of the liquid from inputs comprising the level, and to calculate a first mass of the liquid from inputs comprising the first volume and the pressure signal.

Apparatus and method for volume and mass estimation of a multiphase fluid stored at cryogenic temperatures

There is provided an adjustable saddle support that adjustably connects a conventional bicycle saddle with a conventional bicycle seat post. The conventional bicycle seat post has a conventional first saddle clamp mechanism. The adjustable saddle support comprises an adjustment mechanism that has a second saddle clamp mechanism and a support member which supports the adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism adjustably engages the support member. There is also a pair of rails which have parallel spaced apart sections. The pair of rails is connected with the support member.

Light emitting and image sensing device and apparatus

There is provided a light emitting and image sensing device for a scene. The light emitting and image sensing device is formed in a semiconductor substrate and comprises a photoemitter means for illuminating the scene with light, and a photosensor means for sensing an image of the scene. The photosensor means is responsive to incident light from the scene. In another embodiment of the present invention there is provided a light emitting and image sensing device for a scene. The light emitting and image sensing device includes a photosensor means for sensing the image of the scene, the photosensor means is formed in a first semiconductor substrate and is responsive to incident light from the scene, and a photoemitter means for illuminating the scene with light, the photoemitter means is formed in a second semiconductor substrate. The second semiconductor substrate is attached to the first semiconductor substrate.
