A system and method of producing a moulded article, e.g. a one-piece container, comprises delivering a fibre suspension to a porous mould and removing a suspending liquid (e.g. water) via pores of the porous mould. An inflatable bladder is inserted into the mould in a collapsed state and then inflated to apply pressure to internal walls of the article to remove water content. A wet embryonic form of the container is then transferred to a non-porous mould where an inflatable bladder applies internal pressure to compress the walls and remove further water content. The container is further dried by microwave and/or air drying and may be coated with a protective layer.

System and method for forming a moulded article

An apparatus for dispensing a carbonated beverage includes a sub-chamber () that communicates with a main container (). In use, prior to filling the sub-chamber () it is pressurised to greater than or equal to the equilibrium pressure required to keep the dissolved gas in solution. This has the effect that the beverage does not froth out of a dispenser nozzle. It also has the effect of keeping beverage in the main container () from losing carbonation. The invention has particular application to 'Optic' devices for dispensing carbonated spirit drinks.

An apparatus for forming a head on a beverage using ultrasonic energy, the apparatus () including an hydrating means () such that a layer of water is provided to keep a platform (), which is in turn coupled to an ultrasonic transducer, maintained in conductive contact with the, base (B) of a glass (G) of beverage. The water layer improves the transfer of ultrasonic energy to the beverage in the glass. Preferably the water layer is provided through a pump means coupled to a reservoir ().
