Disclosed herein is a system and method for installing a set of electronic equipment in an enterprise location, the method comprising: specifying one or more functional operations for the set of electronic equipment to perform within the enterprise location; installing a set of electronic equipment in a mechanical housing, the mechanical housing adapted to be installed in a suspended ceiling in place of one or more ceiling tiles; and configuring each of the one or more separate pieces of electronic equipment that make up the set of electronic equipment such that upon installation in the suspended ceiling, the set of electronic equipment operates and communicates in the manner as specified.

System and method for the design, configuration, and installation of an in-ceiling audio-video equipment housing

A loudspeaker system is provided herein comprising: a digital transmitter adapted to store, retrieve, and transmit digital messages over a network cable using an audio over internet protocol (AoIP), and wherein the transmitted digital messages are individually addressable using an IP address, and wherein the transmitted digital messages contain digital audio messages and digital command and control messages; an endpoint enclosure adapted to have a unique IP address pre-assigned to it such that the endpoint enclosure is adapted to receive the transmitted digital messages addressed to it and extract the digital audio messages and the digital command and control messages from the transmitted and received digital messages, and wherein the endpoint enclosure comprises additional circuitry adapted to extract the digital audio messages from the received digital messages and power from the network cable, and generate an electrical audio signal from the extracted digital audio messages; an 'N' position switch adapted to receive the electrical audio signal from the additional circuitry and output the same on one or more of 'N' output ports based on the position of the switch; and a first set of loudspeakers adapted to receive the electrical audio signal and broadcast the same as an acoustic audio signal.

A tunable bass reflex ceiling mounted speaker system and a method for tuning same is disclosed. In accordance with at least one embodiment, a speaker system is provided that includes a port tube and a transducer assembly within the interior volume of a back box. The transducer assembly generates a reflexive airwave within the interior volume of the back box. The reflexive airwave moves into and out of the interior volume through the port tube to create a better broadcast sound in a room. The port tube length has a fixed port and an adjustable port that is tunable by an adjustment mechanism.
