A portable scale for weighing containers, and includes a weighing tray that may be moved from a weighing position to a non-weighing position by a drive mechanism. When in the non-weighing position, the weighing tray is low to the ground, allowing for easy loading and unloading. When in the weighing position, force is transmitted to one or more load cells located between the weighing tray and a scale assembly, which allows for an accurate measurement of the container and/or its contents.

Liquid color cart and method for liquid color dispensing

A pump has a PVC 'T' shaped member having an inlet, an outlet and an interior pumping chamber positioned between the inlet and outlet; a piston displaceable into the chamber; an air cylinder for driving the piston into the chamber; a spring for biasing the piston outwardly from the chamber in opposition to force applied by the air cylinder; a washer-urethane disk check valve at the conduit inlet permitting fluid flow into the chamber but precluding fluid flow out of the chamber responsively to piston displacement into the chamber; and a washer-urethane disk check valve at the conduit outlet permitting fluid flow out of the chamber responsively to fluid pressure increase resulting from piston displacement into the chamber.

A method for weight blending of granular materials comprises at a remote site generating a command for desired operation of granular material weight blending apparatus; encoding said command into transportable time-stable machine readable tangible storage media; transporting said media to a bar code reader operatively connected to said granular material weight blending apparatus; scanning the tangible media having the command encoded thereon to read the command; and providing the read command as input to a in microprocessor operatively connected to said granular material weight blending apparatus for regulating operation of the same.
