The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for adjusting a position of artificial teeth of a denture. A digital 3D model of the denture comprising at least a denture part is provided. The denture part is configured for a jaw of a patient and comprises a dental arch with a plurality of artificial teeth arranged in an artificial gingiva. A deformable gingiva section of the artificial gingiva is defined between the teeth of the plurality of artificial teeth and a fixed gingiva section of the artificial gingiva with a fixed geometrical form. The dental arch is moved as a whole relative to the fixed gingiva section in order to adjust the position of the dental arch. A geometrical form of the deformable gingiva section is deformed due to the moving of the dental arch, whereas the fixed gingiva section maintains the fixed geometrical form.

Adjusting a position of artificial teeth of a denture

Disclosed is a method for checking a geometric form of a physical dental element using motion tracking and augmented reality. The method comprises a receiving of a three-dimensional digital model comprising a three-dimensional digital dental element, as well as repeatedly: a receiving of optical imaging data from an optical sensor device, a detecting of structural elements within the optical imaging data, a determining of a target position for the three-dimensional digital dental element using the reference points defined by the structural elements, and a controlling of an electronic display device for displaying an augmented reality view on the physical dental element augmented with the three-dimensional digital dental element.

Checking a physical dental element using motion tracking

Disclosed herein is a method of dental imaging. The method comprises receiving data descriptive of at least one three-dimensional digital dental element. The at least one three-dimensional digital dental element comprises a defined position relative to a dental articulator. The method further comprises repeatedly: receiving the optical imaging data descriptive of the dental articulator from an optical sensor; receiving the localization data in response to inputting the optical imaging data into a localization module; performing a calculation comprising calculating at least one three-dimensional object aligned to the localization data descriptive of the dental articulator using the defined position of the at least one three-dimensional digital dental element and the localization data descriptive of the dental articulator; and providing a rendering of the at least one three-dimensional object.

Control of virtual objects using a dental articulator

The invention relates to a computer system for providing a treatment proposal for a dentition of a patient. The computer system is configured to provide an current state model of the dentition and a target state model of the dentition; to provide a set of treatment options for treating the dentition, to check the provided treatment options, wherein the checking comprises determining whether the dentition of the patient is meeting the feasibility requirements assigned to the treatment option being checked; in case the dentition is determined to meet the feasibility requirements assigned to the treatment option being checked, to provide the treatment proposal identifying the respective treatment option and implementation parameters determined for the measures of the identified treatment option for modifying the current state model such that one or more discrepancies of the current state model relative to the target state model are compensated.

Automated treatment proposal

A method for producing a tooth replacement part to be secured on an implant, based on a 3D model of the tooth replacement part with a surface and with a continuous screw channel with an initial shape in the form of a cylindrical barrel, with a first and a second end, wherein a cross sectional area of the screw channel is designed to be constant and/or to increase in size towards the second end of the screw channel. A 3D model of an inlay with a jacket surface, an upper face and a lower face is generated. A part of the surface of the 3D model of the tooth replacement part that is cut out through the second end of the final shape of the screw channel is used as the upper face and the jacket surface is configured as a negative form of a part of the final shape of the screw channel that adjoins the second end.

Production method for tooth replacement part and veneer structure

The invention relates to a specimen part for creating a stress-free fit, a so-called passive fit, of implant-supported and/or abutment-supported bridges and bars by means of a CAD/CAM tool for the creation of restorations, and to a method for creating a restoration from a digital model of a patient's jaw provided with at least two implants and/or abutments. The model is determined by means of an intraoral scan. In order to improve the precision of restorations and to shorten the production process, provision is made that the specimen part per implant and/or abutment has a scannable structure, preferably at a defined distance and angle to the implant and/or abutment.

Passive fit of implant bridges and implant bars by means of a CAD/CAM tool for the model-free creation of implant-supported restorations

A method is proposed for ascertaining the spatial positions and orientations of at least two implants anchored in a jaw of a patient, said method having the following steps: 1. An adhesive bond aid is produced that bridges the implants and has negative molds of adhesive caps, wherein the negative molds fit on the adhesive caps if these are affixed to the implants, and wherein the negative molds allow a clearance relative to the adhesive caps. 2. The adhesive caps are affixed to the at least two implants in the jaw of the patient. 3. The adhesive bond aid is positioned over the adhesive caps. 4. The clearance between the adhesive caps and the negative molds is filled with adhesive. 5. The adhesive is cured. 6. The adhesive caps are released from the implants. 7. The obtained adhesion key is removed from the patient.

Ascertaining the spatial positions and orientations of implants anchored in a jaw of a patient

Preparation of a dental prosthesis that includes a gingiva part having retention holes for seating of manufactured teeth, with the retention holes being enlarged relative to the manufactured teeth. Wax in the enlarged retention holes permits adjustments in positioning of the manufactured teeth, and a helper structure preserves this positioning when the wax is removed and a curable gingiva material is filled into the retention holes. Aspects described herein include digital and/or automatic design of the dental prosthesis and its constituent pieces, as well as automated fabrication thereof in whole or in part, such as in a dental CAD/CAM system.

Methods, apparatuses, computer programs, and systems for creating a custom dental prosthesis using a CAD/CAM system

Digital design and/or fabrication of a dental prosthesis that includes a gingiva part having retention pockets and corresponding injection channels that extend from the retention pockets to an exterior of the gingiva part. The positioning of a matrix mated to a ball attachment of a dental implant is fixed in the retention pocket by injection of a curable adhesive through the injection channels and into the retention pockets. The location of the retention pockets and the injection channels may be automatically generated by a computer-aided design/computer-assisted manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system. The gingiva part including the retention pockets and injection channels can further be designed and fabricated by the CAD/CAM system.
