A chin guard assembly that includes a shell having an outer and inner surface, an outer peripheral edge extending around the shell, and a first and second end. The first and second ends each having at least one slot configured to receive a strap with each strap extending through the at least one slot and outwardly from each end, wherein one strap is fixed to the shell at the first end and one strap is fixed to the shell at the second end.

A chin guard has a shell with a cup suitable for fitting upon a human chin and a resilient layer received within the cup of the shell. The resilient layer is suitable for contacting the human chin. The shell has a first strap-receiving slot on one side thereof and a second strap-receiving slot on an opposite side thereof. Each of the first and second strap-receiving slots open through a thickness of the shell. A first strap extends through the first strap-receiving slot and a second strap extends through said second strap-receiving slot. The first and second slots are arranged transverse to a longitudinal axis of the shell.

A chin guard has a shell with a cup suitable for fitting upon a human chin and a resilient layer received within in the cup of the shell. The resilient layer has a periphery overlying the outer peripheral edge of the shell. The resilient layer has a support layer in surface-to-surface contact with a surface of the shell. A plurality of padded sections are integrally formed with the support layer. The plurality of padded sections include a rectangular portion extending centrally across the support layer on a side opposite the cup and a plurality of fingers extending outwardly of the rectangular portion.

A chin guard has a shell with a cup suitable for fitting upon a human chin and a resilient layer received within the cup of the shell. The resilient layer has a periphery overlying the outer peripheral edge of the shell. The resilient layer has an interior surface opposite the shell. The interior surface has bumps formed thereon and extending substantially over an entirety of the interior surface. A netting material is affixed to the resilient layer and extends around the bumps.

A chin guard apparatus has a shell having a cup suitable for fitting upon a human chin, a resilient layer received within in the cup of the shell and having a periphery overlying an outer peripheral edge of the shell, a first strap affixed to one side of the shell and extending outwardly therefrom, and a second strap affixed to an opposite side of the shell and extending outwardly therefrom. A bladder is affixed to a surface of the resilient layer opposite the shell. Strap splitters are associated with each of the first and second straps so as to allow portions of the strap to be attached to different hook-ups of the helmet.

A portable seat cushion for a bench has an inflatable panel, a strap having an end affixed to a back side of panel and extending outwardly therefrom, a first fastener affixed to a front side of the panel, and a second fastener affixed to the strap at an end opposite the panel. The second fastener is suitable for affixing to the first fastener when the bottom surface of the panel is placed upon a bench and the strap is extended along an underside of the bench toward the front side of the panel. The strip can have an elastic section formed therealong. A valve allows air to be selectively introduced into the interior compartment of the inflatable panel.

Protective headgear comprises a rigid shell with face pads which may be released and removed while the headgear is still on a person's head. A protective chin guard may be attached to the headgear by way of the face pads. The chin guard comprises a substantially rigid shell with a removeable insert made of a flexible bladder filled with a shock absorbing fluid. The headgear may comprise a shell made of an inner and outer material layered over an internal foam core to effect both strength and lightweight.
