A remote diaphragm seal is provided. The remote diaphragm seal includes a flange coupled to a deflectable diaphragm configured to come into contact with a flow of process fluid along a first side of the diaphragm. The flange includes a fluidic passageway in fluidic communication with a second side of the deflectable diaphragm, the fluidic passageway including a substantially incompressible fluid. The flange also includes at least one additional passageway in fluidic communication with the first side of the deflectable diaphragm.

The present disclosure is provided with a measuring element (M) and a measuring device. The measuring element includes a base body, a diaphragm and a permeation resistant layer, the diaphragm is fixedly connected to the base body, with a sealed cavity being defined between the diaphragm and the base body. The permeation resistant layer is arranged on an inner side surface, facing the sealed cavity, of the diaphragm, and extended continuously on the inner side surface of the diaphragm at least beyond a connection region of the diaphragm with the base body. The measuring device includes the measuring element (M).

Measuring element with an extended permeation resistant layer

A remote seal assembly for a process transmitter includes a seal body containing a cavity sealed by a diaphragm. The seal body configured to be mounted to a process element containing a process fluid such that a first side of the diaphragm is exposed to the process fluid. A capillary contains a fill fluid that is in fluid communication with the cavity and a second side of the diaphragm. A coupling has a capillary recess and two cavities separated by a second diaphragm. The capillary extends through the capillary recess and connects to the coupling such that the fill fluid in the capillary is in fluid communication with one of the two cavities and the second diaphragm. A thermally conductive element preferably extends continuously along the capillary from the seal body toward the coupling and into the capillary recess without contacting the coupling.

Fill fluid thermal management

A single-use adapter for coupling a single-use container to a reusable sensor transducer includes an attachment region. The single-use adapter includes a deflectable diaphragm sealingly coupling to the attachment region and configured to contact a media sample. The single-use adapter also includes a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag coupled to the single-use adapter and configured to store and transmit data.

Single-use pressure transducer disposable interface

A transmitter for measuring a process pressure includes a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor providing an input temperature signal. A first remote pressure sensitive diaphragm couples to the transmitter by a first capillary tube filled with a fill fluid having a density as a function of fill fluid temperature. An input circuit is operably connected to at least the pressure sensor and provides an intermediate pressure signal at least roughly representative of the process pressure. A correcting circuit is coupled to the temperature sensor and to the input circuit. The correcting circuit processes the intermediate pressure signal by compensating for the fill fluid density as a function of the temperature and provides a compensated output more closely representative of the process pressure. The correction circuit further performs an initial height determination based upon a pressure measurement made while no pressure is applied to the first diaphragm.

Remote seal diaphragm system

A multi-seat bonnet for a valve assembly comprising is disclosed herein. The multi-seat bonnet includes a locking mechanism that is configured to secure the multi-seat bonnet to the valve assembly. Further, the multi-seat bonnet includes a first sealing surface configured to engage a high pressure seat, in addition to a second sealing surface configured to engage a low pressure seat.

Multi-pressure rated valve assembly

A pressure-sensing system is presented. The pressure-sensing system comprises a single-use container. The pressure-sensing system comprises a disposable process connector configured to couple directly to the single-use container. The disposable process connector has a deflectable diaphragm. The pressure-sensing system comprises a pressure transducer. The pressure transducer is removably coupled to the disposable process connector. The pressure transducer comprises an isolation diaphragm positioned adjacent the deflectable diaphragm of the disposable process connector. The pressure transducer comprises a pressure sensor module operably coupled to the isolation diaphragm. The pressure transducer also comprises a controller coupled to the pressure sensor. The controller is configured to transmit a detected indication of pressure within the single-use container. A pressure transducer for a single-use container includes a polymeric housing and a base having an isolation diaphragm. A sensor module is coupled to the base, and has a pressure sensor operably coupled to the isolation diaphragm. Circuitry is disposed within the polymeric housing and coupled to the pressure transducer. The circuitry includes a microprocessor configured to obtain a pressure measurement from the pressure sensor and provide an output signal based on the measured pressure.

Pressure transducer for single-use containers

A pressure transmitter assembly for measuring a process pressure of an industrial process includes a pressure sensor configured to sense the process pressure. A process coupling couples the pressure sensor to the industrial process. In one example configuration, a phase change material carried in the process coupling is configured to reduce heat transfer from the industrial process to the process variable sensor by changing phase in response to heat from the industrial process. In another example configuration, a thermocouple electric cooling element is coupled to the process coupling and configured to conduct heat away from the coupling in response to an applied electric current.

Cooling for industrial process variable transmitters

A pressure transmitter assembly for measuring a process pressure of an industrial process includes a pressure sensor configured to sense the process pressure. A process coupling couples the pressure sensor to the industrial process using an elongate housing with a fill fluid capillary. In one example configuration, at least one thermoelectric element is included within the elongate housing to apply heat to, or conduct heat away from, the process coupling in response to an applied electric current or signal, allowing fill fluid to be preheated to facilitate cold startup or calibration, and providing cooling of the process coupling during high temperature operation.

Thermoelectric heating, cooling and power generation for direct mount and dual compartment fill remote seal systems

A replaceable seal system with high and low sides connectable to a coplanar inlet plate on a pressure transmitter. A first side of the seal system can be replaced without disturbing the sealing of a second side of the seal system. The seal system includes a stack of first and second plates with a central split line. At least one of the first and second plates is split along the central split line to provide for separate replacement on only one side of the system.

Separately replaceable seal systems for use with a pressure transmitter

A polymeric remote seal system is provided for coupling a single-use container to a pressure measurement instrument. The polymeric remote seal system includes a process-side coupling, an instrument-side coupling and a fluidic coupling therebetween. The process-side coupling is configured to couple to the single-use container and is formed of a radiation sterilizable polymer. The process-side coupling has a process-side deflectable diaphragm that is configured to deflect in response to pressure within the single-use container. The instrument-side coupling is configured to couple to the pressure measurement instrument and is formed of a radiation sterilizable polymer. The instrument-side coupling is configured to fluidically convey fluid pressure to an isolation diaphragm of the pressure measurement instrument. Tubing fluidically couples the process-side coupling to the instrument-side coupling.

Polymeric remote seal system for single-use containers

A process pressure measuring system includes a transmitter having a first sealed system in which a first outlet couples to a pressure sensor, a first isolator diaphragm assembly, a first capillary passage, and a first isolation fluid. The first isolation fluid couples a first pressure from the first isolator diaphragm to the first outlet and the pressure sensor. A second sealed system includes a second pressure outlet that is coupled to the first isolator diaphragm assembly, a second isolator diaphragm assembly, a second capillary passage and a second isolation fluid. The second isolation fluid is adapted for use in a first temperature range and couples a pressure from the second isolator diaphragm assembly to the second pressure outlet. A third sealed system includes a third pressure outlet that is coupled to the second isolator diaphragm assembly, a third isolator diaphragm assembly, a third capillary passage and a third isolation fluid. The third isolator fluid is adapted for use in a second temperature range and couples a process pressure to the third pressure outlet.
