Methods and systems for predicting instant play includes pre-loading one or more instances of select ones of games on one or more game consoles on a cloud game server. The loading of instances is based on usage history of the games. Users are assigned to select ones of the instances of the games loaded on the one or more game consoles, in response to user interaction detected at the select ones of the games exceeding a pre-defined threshold value. User interactions are monitored at the instances of the select ones of games assigned to the users. Based on the monitored interactions, the number of instances of the games loaded on the one or more game consoles are dynamically adjusted. The dynamic adjustment includes scaling up or scaling down the number of instances of the games loaded on the one or more game consoles.

Predictive instant play for an application over the cloud

Systems and methods of network traffic engineering are provided. The system includes a switch and a controller. The controller can maintain a monitoring segment identifier set defining a path for traffic intended for a destination device. The controller can maintain a forwarding segment identifier set representing a compressed version of the monitoring segment identifier set such that traffic, when labeled according to the forwarding segment identifier set, will follow the path defined by the monitoring segment identifier set. The controller can monitor a status of the path defined by the monitoring segment identifier set. The controller can, subject to determining that the path defined by the monitoring segment identifier set is invalid, cause the switch to not label a packet received at the switch according to the forwarding segment identifier set.

Mechanism and apparatus for path protection when using compressed segment routing label stacks

Methods, systems, and apparatus are described for network encapsulation and routing. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, from source network and at an edge device a first network packet including a first inner header including i) a first source address, and ii) a first destination address; selecting a source network identifier for the source network from a plurality of routable network identifiers; encapsulating the first network packet within a first encapsulation packet; routing the first encapsulation packet to the destination server; receiving, from the destination server, a second encapsulation packet; extracting the second network packet from the second encapsulation packet; and routing the second network packet to the source network.
