The processing circuitry is configured to receive a plurality of time series data at the communication adapter from an engine control of the gas turbine engine, record a plurality of internal sensor data of the internal sensor system, correlate the time series data with the internal sensor data based on an alignment in time to form an enhanced data set, and transmit the enhanced data set from the communication adapter to an offboard system.

A file processing system receives the vehicle operational data and includes at least one set of predefined file editing rules. The wireless sensor system can also include a data concentrator coupled to the gas turbine engine. The data concentrator can be configured to receive a plurality of wireless sensor data from the wireless sensors and transmit the wireless sensor data to a communication adapter of the gas turbine engine.

The housing includes a metal chassis with a non-conductive substrate between the metal chassis and the antennas. The antennas are partitioned into two or more portions. A communication interface of the communication adapter is configured to establish wireless communication through the antennas using two or more different wireless communication protocols.

The system is further configured to monitor the blockchain database for a configuration update associated with the aircraft and update the engine manufacturer database based on the configuration update. The system is further configured to command a synchronization of the configuration update from the engine manufacturer database to a communication adapter of the gas turbine engine tracked by the engine manufacturer database and transmit the configuration update wirelessly to the communication adapter through the communication interface to update a data storage unit of the gas turbine engine with the configuration update.
