An electrical module is provided which is made of a number different types of mechanically and electrically interconnected printed circuit board assemblies. The different types of printed circuit board assemblies required for the electrical module are manufactured simultaneously on a single printed circuit board panel. After the printed circuit board assemblies are completed and preferably tested, the printed circuit board panel is divided into individual printed circuit board assemblies. The printed circuit board assemblies are then mechanically folded together to form an electrical module which preferably has substantially all of the electrical connections within the interior of the electrical module.

Electrical module and method for the manufacture thereof

A speaker having a slotted flange is attached by a robot to printed circuit board mounting posts. The posts are slotted and dimensioned so the post slots are slid into engagement with the flange slots in interlocking arrangement. The posts and flange are dimensioned so that a robot hand can slide the flange between the posts in interference fit such that the relatively rigid posts are torqued apart flexing the board. When the flange and post slots engage, the board flex forces snap the posts and flange in locked engagement.

Construction for attaching a component to a substrate

The inking bars of an intaglio inking device are mounted in a cartridge which is easily inserted into and removed from the inking device. Adjacent inking bars have different aperture patterns to form an ink path transversely across the inking bars to remove ink from between adjacent bars. A moveable shuttle carries stop bars which can be used to selectively detent the inking bars.
