A biopsy needle for collecting a tissue specimen includes an outer cannula and an inner tube received within the outer cannula. A snare coil is attached between the inner tube and the outer cannula and is configured to wind down when the inner tube rotates in a first direction relative to the outer cannula. The outer cannula is fixedly coupled to a needle holder that is coupled to and moves with a movable base that is axially movable within the handle housing. An inner driven structure (curvilinear part) is configured to selectively engage the movable base and travel therewith in a first stage of operation and in a second stage of operation in which the inner driven structure is disengaged from the movable base, the inner driven structure is driven along the movable base which is held in a stationary position.

Biopsy needle

A biopsy needle for collecting a tissue specimen includes an outer cannula and an inner tube received within the outer cannula and configured to receive a stylet. The outer cannula is fixedly coupled to a needle holder that is coupled to and moves with a movable base that is axially movable within the handle housing. A biopsy needle for collecting a tissue specimen includes an outer cannula that is at least partially received within a handle housing and an inner tube received within the outer cannula and configured to receive a stylet. A snare coil is attached between the inner tube and the outer cannula and a movable base is disposed within the handle housing. The outer cannula is fixedly coupled to the base and the movable base is axially movable within the handle housing. An inner driven structure that is coupled to the inner tube is configured to travel axially across an upper surface of the movable base. The coupling between the inner driven structure and the inner tube is such that the axial driving of the inner driven structure imparts rotation to the inner tube relative to the outer cannula.

A cuffed-catheter removal device includes a handle and a shaft extending from the handle. The shaft extends from the handle to a distal end of the cuffed-catheter removal device. At the distal end of the cuffed-catheter removal device the shaft includes a C-shaped shaft member with a concave recess shaped and dimensioned for attachment and tracking along an exposed catheter shaft.

Cuffed-catheter removal device

An apparatus for the removal of build-up about an implanted catheter having an interior surface, an exterior surface and an open free end positioned within an individual's vascular system. The apparatus includes a delivery assembly storing a stripping coil. The delivery assembly includes a guide structure for guiding the stripping coil through the catheter to the free end of the catheter. The stripping coil is formed of a shape memory or super-elastic material, wherein the stripping coil is preformed to assume a shape wrapping about the outer surface of the catheter in a manner providing for the stripping of build-up from the outer surface of the catheter when the stripping coil is moved relative to the catheter.

Apparatus for stripping fibrin from a catheter

A guidewire steering device includes a gripping member and a compression member. The gripping member includes opposed first and second gripping surfaces positioned for selective engagement of a guidewire positioned therebetween. The first gripping surface includes a first end and a second end and the second gripping surface includes a first end and a second end. The first and second gripping surfaces being oriented to permit selective gripping of a guidewire positioned therebetween. The second end of the first gripping surface and the second end of the second gripping surface are spaced apart in a manner defining a lateral access slot through which a guidewire may be passed for positioning between the first and second gripping surfaces. The compression member is positioned about the gripping member for controlling movement of the first and second gripping surfaces between a gripping orientation in which the first and second gripping surfaces engage a guidewire positioned therebetween and a sliding orientation in which the first and second gripping surfaces are sufficiently spaced to permit free movement of a guidewire therebetween. The compression member includes first and second outwardly extending arms which respectively wrap about an exterior surface of the gripping member adjacent the first and second gripping surfaces to force the first and second gripping surfaces toward each other when the compression member is moved toward the gripping member.

Guide wire steering handle

The intravascular snare is formed with a central shaft which is attached to the proximal ends of a plurality of loops. The loops are connected together at joinder points spaced from both the distal and proximal ends of the loops to maintain the relative geometry of the loops in both an expanded and compressed condition. The loops include a material which provides radiopacity.
