A toy brick system is provided having a plurality of bricks each of which has a post extending from first end of a body of the brick and having a socket at a second end. The post in each brick in the plurality is engageable with a socket of an adjacently place brick in a removable rotational engagement enabling curved and angled configuration of assembled structures. Engagement and disengagement from the rotational engagement can only occur at a specific engagement angle between adjacent bricks thereby maintaining the rotational engagement of adjacent bricks once engaged and rotated out of the engagement angle. The bricks are configurable in a linear fashion or with curved exterior walls for forming curved structures.

Rotationally engaged toy brick system

A toy brick system is provided having a plurality of bricks each of which has a post positioned extending from a first end of a body of the brick and having a socket at a second end. The post in each brick in the plurality is engageable with a socket of an adjacently place brick in a removable rotational engagement enabling curved and angled configuration of assembled structures. Engagement and disengagement from the rotational engagement can only occur at a specific engagement angle between adjacent bricks thereby maintaining the rotational engagement of adjacent bricks once engaged and rotated out of the engagement angle.

A braking system and method for an apparatus or vehicle moved along a pathway by an apparatus drive mechanism, for halting the movement of the apparatus or vehicle in the event that the drive mechanism loses power or malfunctions. A conveyance system includes a pathway, an moving apparatus moving along the pathway, the apparatus drive mechanism, a brake rail along the pathway having along one edge a multiplicity of regularly spaced teeth with gaps between successive teeth, and a brake device mounted securely to the apparatus. The brake device includes a rotatably driven rotor having outer helical threads for running the gaps in the brake rail with successive turns of the driven rotor without touching the teeth.

Elevator structure and brake system therefor

A braking system and method for an apparatus or vehicle moved along a pathway by a drive mechanism, for halting the movement of the apparatus or vehicle in the event that the drive mechanism loses power or malfunctions. A conveyance system is provided including a structure defining a pathway, an moving apparatus supported for movement along the pathway, a drive mechanism operatively connected for moving the apparatus along the pathway, a brake rail having along one edge a multiplicity of regularly spaced teeth that define gaps between successive teeth, disposed along the pathway and secured to the structure, and a brake device mounted securely to the apparatus. The brake device includes a driven rotor having a central axis of rotation and an outer cylindrical surface, and a helical thread on the outer cylindrical surface of the rotor for loosely engaging the gaps in the brake rail, the thread having a width and helical pitch whereby with successive turns of the driven rotor, the thread loosely engages successive gaps in the brake rail for movement of the rotor along the brake rail.

A device enabling the formation of a belt or suspenders through a sequential engagement of a plurality of removably engageable bodies. The bodies are only engageable and disengageable when positioned at an engagement position substantially perpendicular to adjacent bodies.

Linked belt

A portable liquid heating and dispensing system is provided. A preferred embodiment includes a self-contained dispensing unit and a receiver. The dispensing unit may include a container portion, a dispensing portion, and an electric heat generating portion. The container portion has a main reservoir for holding a supply of the liquid to be dispensed. The dispensing portion has a down tube, a manually operated pump mechanism connected to the down-tube, and an outlet spout connected to the pump mechanism. The pump mechanism has a liquid reservoir. Liquid is drawn through the down tube and into the liquid reservoir and out of the outlet spout. The heat generating portion is positioned at the liquid reservoir, so that liquid pumped out of the main reservoir is heated before being pumped out of the spout. The receiver accepts and provides power to the self-contained dispensing unit.

Self-contained liquid dispenser with heating means

A level constructed of clear acrylic plastic including a piece of colored acrylic plastic which serves as a light collector and a continuous passageway in the clear acrylic which reflects the light collected by the piece of colored plastic. By partially filling the passageway with liquid, a line of reflected light appears on the wall of the passageway above the interface between the liquid surface in the passageway and the unfilled portion of the passageway, whereby the level is easier to read than ordinary bubble type levels.

Level

A spring type hand grip exerciser having a body with a pivoted lever that operates against a spring resistance force when the lever is moved toward the body of the exerciser. The hand grip exerciser contains a counter which counts the number of times a user grips and releases the lever and body. The hand grip exciser is free standing on a level surface.

A rocking lounge chair for children comprising a generally ellipsoidal shaped body particularly adapted for rocking on a ground surface. A body rest formed into a back, seat and leg rest for a child to recline in a comfortable position thereon is fixedly suspended downwardly within a rectangular opening in the top surface. A bumper guard spaced from the ground surface extends around the lower surface to provide the means for limiting rocking of the body in any position.

Rocking lounge chair

A device for discharging a group of bubbles stuck together is adapted to be operated when held in hand and when mounted on a vehicle such as a bicycle. The device includes a multiple ring structure mounted in the bore of a tube having an air receiving entrance and an exit end. A reservoir which has multiple orifices in its bottom wall is also mounted in the upper wall of the tube. Bubble forming fluid stored in the reservoir is metered through the orifices and directed downwardly to form a film across the openings in the ring structure. In response to movement of air through the tube an expanding curtain of film is formed and released from the ring structure openings and discharged out of the exit end of the tube in an assortment of bubbles. A sump is demountably secured to the bottom wall of the tube for collecting drops of fluid not consumed in forming bubbles.

Bubble discharging device

A tethered exercise device for developing muscle tone and coordination in the wrist, arm and shoulder. The device has a handle connected by swivel means to an elongate strap. A ball is mounted on the strap by threading an end portion of the strap through a plurality of displaced slit openings in the wall of the ball for reciprocal movement thereon and adapted to be whirled about at any position on the strap.

Tethered exercise device

Game apparatus for playing a game is provided requiring skill, dexterity and body motion. The game apparatus comprises a sheet of fabric, plastic or the like, adapted to lay on a flat surface and tread on by one or more players. The upper surface of the sheet is imprinted with graphic symbols for guiding and scoring the player. To advance to scoring position the player is required to grasp a tethered ball device and cast the ball into the air so as to loop it through an aperture extending through the tethered ball device.

Game apparatus

A riding type toy comprising an animal-like structure which has a generally ellipsoidal body, an upright neck and head portion. A pair of handhold bars extends from opposite sides of the head. The body has a lower surface and an upper surface for a child to sit on and grip the handhold bars so as to rock and rotate the lower surface of the body slidably on a ground surface. A bumper guard extends around the body between the lower and upper surface to limit rocking in any direction. On the upper surface of the body a shallow dish-like basin seat is formed with a pair of arcuate channels extending therefrom to act as leg supports for the rider. Replaceable coverings simulating different animals may be secured to the body by suitable fastenings.

Riding toy for children

A cabinet for storing oversized documents such as blueprints is disclosed. The cabinet includes a drawer formed of flexible material which is movable between a closed position in which it curls over on itself to form a protective cover about the documents and an open position in which it extends linearly outwardly from the cabinet to permit access to the documents.
