The present inventions relates to an osteotomy implant for bridging an osteotomy opening or resection in a target bone in a substantially countersunk manner. The osteotomy implant comprises a proximal portion with at least one aperture for receiving at least one bone fixation element and a distal portion with at least one aperture for receiving at least one bone fixation element. At least one middle strut portion connects said proximal portion with said distal portion. Said at least one middle strut portion has a width which is equal to or smaller than a thickness of said at least one middle strut portion.

Osteotomy implant

The present application relates to an implant system, preferably for the sacroiliac joint, comprising an implant body with at least two adjacent apertures, at least two screws and an insertion instrument assembly. Each screw comprises a screw head and a threaded elongated shaft. The at least two screws are rotatably engaged within said at least two apertures. The insertion instrument assembly includes a basis, a first holding means and at least one rotatable driving means configured for engagement with a drive of at least one of said at least two screws. The at least two screws or said insertion instrument assembly comprises transmission means such that a rotational movement of a first screw of said at least two screws is transferred to the at least one further screw.

Implant assembly for the sacroiliac joint

An implant includes an implant body sized and shaped for insertion into a sacro-iliac joint, the implant including a first bone fixation element receiving channel extending through a portion thereof along a first central axis oriented so that, when the implant body is received within the sacro-iliac joint in a desired configuration, a bone fixation element inserted into the first bone fixation element receiving channel will extend into a first one of the bones forming the joint.

Interbody interference implant and instrumentation

An implant includes a body sized and shaped for insertion into a facet joint, the implant including a first bone fixation element receiving opening extending through a portion thereof along a first axis oriented so that, when the implant is received within a facet joint in a desired configuration, a bone fixation element inserted into the first bone fixation element receiving opening will extend into a first one of the vertebra forming the facet joint.

A spine retractor and distractor device comprises spinal process clamps and a retractor assembly, which may be rotatably coupled with the spinal process clamps. The retractor assembly may include a retractor ring, or frame, and a plurality of retractor blades adjustably coupled to the frame, e.g., by clamps. The spinal process clamps can maintain a grip on the spinal processes of the patient, and distraction pliers may be used to impart a distraction force on the spinal process clamps to distract the spinal segments. Additionally, other components, features, or tools, e.g., a light source and/or a camera, can be mounted on the instrument.

Spine retractor and distractor device

A device for holding a surgical instrument having a body, an instrument engagement device and a knob. The body has a proximal end, a distal end and a passageway positioned through the body. The instrument engagement device is positioned in the passageway and has at least two prongs moveable relative to each other to hold the surgical instrument therebetween. The knob is preferably positioned on the proximal end of the body and operatively associated with the at least two prongs so that movement of the knob causes movement of the prongs. The prongs may further include at least one ridge for engaging at least one slot on the surgical instrument. The knob may further comprise a cap at its proximal end positioned and designed for impact, for example, by a hammer, to facilitate movement of the surgical instrument into the patient. The knob may also include a locking mechanism to fix the position of the prongs.

Pronged holder for treating spinal stenosis

A facet interference screw () for insertion between the facet joints of adjacent superior and inferior vertebrae includes an externally threaded shaft portion and a head. The facet interference screw is preferably split into first () and second () components, each including an outer, semicircular externally threaded surface () so that when coupled together the semicircular externally threaded surfaces form the externally threaded shaft portion. The inner surfaces () of the first and second components may include curved contacting surfaces so that when inserted, the first component is movable with respect to the second component. Alternatively, the screw may include a damping component (') between the inner surfaces of the first and second components to facilitate damping of the first and second components with respect to one another. The damping component preferably also facilitates articulated motion of the first and second components.

A device for treating spinal stenosis having an implant body structure sized and configured to be positioned between the spinous processes of two adjacent vertebrae. The device may have a body portion having a first end portion, a second end portion and a sleeve between the first and second end portions. The device may also have at least two retainers positioned in and extendable from the body portion. A mechanism positioned within the body portion may be used to move the retainers between a retracted position and a deployed position. When the retainers are in the deployed position, the retainers may be positioned around the spinous process of at least one of two adjacent vertebrae. A plurality of installation tools may be used to install the device.

Apparatus for treating spinal stenosis

A method of promoting fusion of adjacent vertebral bodies include providing a conically-shaped cage body having bone engaging projections on an outer surface thereof, the cage body including a leading end having a first diameter and a trailing end having a second diameter that is larger than the first diameter. The method also includes positioning the leading end of the cage body adjacent an intervertebral disc space between an upper vertebral body and a lower vertebral body, whereby the upper and lower vertebral bodies have opposing end faces that define upper and lower limits of the intervertebral disc space. While urging the leading end of the cage body into the intervertebral disc space, the cage body is turned so that the bone engaging projections bite into the opposing end faces of the upper and lower vertebral bodies for anchoring the cage body to the upper and lower vertebral bodies.
