Example implementations relate to exposing on-premise API endpoints in a cloud-based application platform. The application platform receives information regarding a forwarding proxy associated with a private network and information regarding a remote application programming interface (API) endpoint within the private network. A mapping between a resource model of the application platform to a tunnel established between a forwarding client of the application platform and the forwarding proxy is created by a controller of the application platform causing the forwarding client to instantiate a port corresponding to a forwarding route for the remote API endpoint based on the information regarding the forwarding proxy and the remote API endpoint. The remote API endpoint is locally represented within the application platform in a form of an instance of a service abstraction provided by the application platform.

A system to facilitate a container orchestration cloud service platform is described. The system includes a controller to manage Kubernetes cluster life-cycle operations created by each of a plurality of providers. The controller includes one or more processors to execute a controller micro service to discover a provider plugin associated with each of the plurality of providers, and perform the cluster life-cycle operations at a container orchestration platform as a broker for each of a plurality of providers.

A system is provided for disseminating resource allocation information from system resources to state-information observers comprising resource users and typically also at least one system resource manager. Each resource maintains state information about its identity and its allocation to one or more resource users. Each resource provides this information to a state-dissemination arrangement which disseminates it to each state-information observer. Each resource user uses the state information it receives from the state-dissemination arrangement to ascertain the resources allocated to it. Similarly, a system resource manager, when present, uses the state information it receives from the state-dissemination arrangement to ascertain the allocation of those resources that are of interest to the manager. A resource, resource user and resource manager for use in such a system are also provided.

A dibenzothiazepine compound is suitably prepared by subjecting a 2-amino-2'-carboxy-diphenylsulfide compound to dehydration-condensation reaction in the presence of an acidic catalyst; the 2-amino-2&#x2032;-carboxy-diphenylsulfide compound is suitably prepared by reducing a 2-nitro-2&#x2032;-carboxy-diphenylsulfide compound in a lower aliphatic ester solvent; and the 2-nitro-2&#x2032;-carboxy-diphenylsulfide compound is suitably prepared by reacting a nitrobenzene compound with a thiosalicylic acid compound in a mixture of a lower aliphatic alcohol and water.

A process for preparing a compound of formula (I) where Rand Rare as defined in the specification; and Ris hydrogen or a protecting group, which process comprises cyclisation of a compound of formula (II) where R, Rand Rare as defined in relation to formula (I), and Ris nitrogen-protecting group, and removing the group R&#x2014;, and thereafter if desired or necessary, removing any protecting group Rto obtain the corresponding carboxylic acid. Novel intermediates and the use of the products in the preparation of pharmaceutical compounds is also described and claimed.
