Embodiments are disclosed for mapping a networked system. In one example, a control device in a system includes a communication interface coupled to a plurality of devices via a network, a processor, and a storage device storing instructions executable by the processor to transmit a command via the network to the plurality of devices connected to the network, and command the devices to send, via an analog communication interface, an analog message from each device output that is connected to an associated input of another device in the system including information about the output device and output port. The instructions are further executable to determine and map each connected device in the system to an associated device input of another device based on the received analog message for that device output, and, for each mapped device, transmit device data to the device including information about analog connections of the device.

Systems and methods are proposed for adjusting the coverage pattern of a directional loudspeaker array. The methods may comprise adjusting a coverage pattern of a loudspeaker array based on a distribution of audience members. The audience distribution may be determined by imaging a venue with a camera, performing facial detection on the resultant image, and processing the facial detection results to obtain the distribution.

An apparatus for labeling inputs at an audio mixer is provided. The apparatus includes an audio mixer console including a processor and being configured to receive a test command from a mobile device. The audio mixer console is further configured to transmit, from a port, an audio signal to a playback device, the port being associated with a channel of the audio mixing console, and receive, from the mobile device, a label signal including a channel label to be assigned to the channel from the mobile device in response to a user input. The audio mixer console is further configured to assign the channel label to the channel in response to the label signal.

An audio mixing console labeling system may include an audio mixing console having a processor and configured to receive an audio signal at a first input port from one of a microphone and a musical instrument, the first input port being associated with a first channel of the audio mixing console, receive a label signal including a channel label to be assigned to the first channel from a remote device, and assign the channel label to the first channel in response to receiving the audio signal at the first input port.

A lasso release mechanism including a lasso having a free first end and a second end having a eyelet formed therein. The eyelet is adapted for slidably receiving a remaining portion of the lasso thereby affording a loop. The lasso is slit to define a pair of terminations.
