A pump drive unit for conveying a process fluid includes a housing which surrounds a pump having an impeller, a drive for the pump, a shaft for driving the impeller which connects the drive to the pump, and a restrictor extending around the shaft and arranged between the impeller and the drive. The housing has a pump inlet and outlet for the process fluid, with an inlet for introduction of a barrier fluid into the drive and an outlet for draining the barrier fluid from the housing. A plurality of storage chambers for the barrier fluid are disposed at the shaft in the region between the restrictor and the drive. The storage chambers are arranged behind one another with respect to the axial direction, with a respective two adjacent storage chambers being in flow communication with one another.

Disclosed is a pump having a pump rotor rotatably supported about an axis of rotation in a pump stator. In this respect, the pump rotor is designed and is arranged above a rotor shaft in a shaft bearing such that a lubricating film of a lubricating fluid formed from the pump fluid can be formed in a lubricating ring gap between the rotor shaft and the shaft bearing. In accordance with the invention, a separation device is provided at the rotor shaft by which a predefinable quantity of the ingredient can be separated from the pump fluid by means of a centrifugal force in the operating state for providing the lubricating fluid.

The invention relates to a sealing arrangement for a high-pressure space having a bounding element and a termination element. The bounding element has an outer sealing surface and the termination element has an inner sealing surface. The outer sealing surface and the inner sealing surface are arranged such that a sealing-off of the high-pressure space is achieved via a contact of the two sealing surfaces. In accordance with the invention the bounding element is designed such that a force in the direction of the inner sealing surface can act on the outer sealing surface due to a pressure in the high-pressure space. Thereby a sealing function is also achieved then when the termination element deforms due to the pressure in the high-pressure space. The sealing arrangement in accordance with the invention can be used particularly advantageously in pumps.

A sealing arrangement for placement between two components which have a planar contact surface, in particular two housing parts of a pump. The sealing arrangement has an elongate, flexible sealing element whose end region has a termination element thereon, which can carry out a sealing function. The sealing element and the termination element have an overlap region in the end region of the sealing element and thus form a first continuous sealing edge. The sealing edge is maintained also for a displacement of the end region of the sealing element in the direction of the start region within the overlap region. The termination element moreover has a first curvature. A sealing arrangement for a rotating shaft, which is in particular designed as a drive shaft of a pump, has a stationary seal holder in which a first and a second slide ring seal are supported. The slide ring seals each have a co-rotating rotary seal part and a stationary seal part. A sealing space is formed between the slide ring seals and the seal holder to which sealing fluid can be supplied via a feed line. In order to enable good rotor dynamics of the shaft with the seal arrangement, a bearing is arranged between the first and the second slide ring seals by means of which the shaft can be supported with respect to the seal holder.

The high pressure rotary pump in a pot housing includes a pressure cap (). The two sealing surfaces () lie on two at least approximately radially extending conical or annular surfaces prior to the being screwed up. After the screwing into place of the flange, the two sealing surfaces are pressed onto one another due to its elastic deformations and thus the angle between the sealing surfaces is equal to zero.
