An automatic dishwashing composition is provided including a builder; a nonionic surfactant; and a dispersant polymer comprising: (a) >60 to <90 wt %, based on weight of the dispersant polymer, of structural units of formula I wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a —CHgroup; and (b) >10 to <40 wt %, based on weight of the dispersant polymer, of structural units of formula II wherein each Ris independently selected from the group consisting of a Chydroxyalkyl group and a Calkoxy group; and wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a methyl group.

Dishwashing formulation with dispersant copolymer

A method of cleaning a plastic article in an automatic dishwashing machine is provided, comprising: selecting an automatic dishwashing composition for cleaning plastic, wherein the automatic dishwashing composition, comprises: a builder; a phosphonate; a nonionic surfactant; and a dispersant polymer comprising: (a) 60 to <90 wt % of structural units of formula I wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a —CHgroup; and (b) >10 to 40 wt % of structural units of formula II wherein each Ris independently selected from a —Calkyl group and wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a methyl group.

Method of cleaning plastic with dispersant copolymer

An automatic dishwashing composition is provided including a builder; a phosphonate; a nonionic surfactant; and a dispersant polymer, comprising: (a) 50 to 95 wt %, based on weight of the dispersant polymer, of structural units of a monoethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid monomer; and (b) 5 to 50 wt %, based on weight of the dispersant polymer, of structural units of a sulfate bearing ethylenically unsaturated monomer.

Dispersant polymer for automatic dishwashing

A plastic cleaning method for cleaning a plastic article in an automatic dishwashing machine is provided, comprising: selecting an automatic dishwashing composition for cleaning plastic, wherein the automatic dishwashing composition, comprises: a builder; a phosphonate a nonionic surfactant; and a dispersant polymer comprising: (a) 60 to 98 wt % of structural units of formula I wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a —CHgroup; and (b) 2 to 40 wt % of structural units of formula II wherein each Ris independently selected from an alkyl group with at least 4 carbon atoms and wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a methyl group.

Plastic cleaning method using dispersant copolymer

A method of washing glassware is provided including: providing automatic dishwashing apparatus; providing soiled glassware; placing soiled glassware in automatic dishwashing apparatus; providing wash water; providing rinse water; selecting anhydrous mixed powder or mixed granule comprising: 2.5-5 wt % of oxidized maltodextrin, wherein oxidized maltodextrin has Degree of Oxidation of 0.4-1.7; 10-25 wt % of amino acid based builder; 20-75 wt % of additional builder, wherein additional builder includes at least one of sodium citrate, sodium carbonate and sodium percarbonate; 2.5-7.5 wt % of bleach activator; 0.5-10 wt % of nonionic surfactant; 0.5-1 wt % of phosphonate; 1-6 wt % of enzyme; 5-15 wt % of filler; and &#x3c;1 wt % water; placing selected anhydrous mixed powder or mixed granule in automatic dishwashing apparatus; contacting selected anhydrous mixed powder or mixed granule with wash water to form combination; contacting soiled glassware with combination to provide treated glassware; and then contacting treated glassware with rinse water to provide cleaned glassware.

Anhydrous autodish formulation

An automatic dishwashing composition is provided including a builder; a phosphonate; a nonionic surfactant; and a dispersant polymer comprising: 60 to 98 wt % of structural units of formula I wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a &#x2014;CHgroup; and 2 to 40 wt % of structural units of formula II wherein each Ris independently selected from a &#x2014;Calkyl group and wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a methyl group.

Dispersant polymer for autodish formulations

A detergent formulation comprises 0.5 to 10 weight-percent mixed-charge polymer and one to 10 weight-percent nonionic surfactant, where weight-percent is relative to total detergent formulation weight, and wherein the mixed-charge polymer comprises quaternary ammonium groups and carboxylate groups extending as pendant side groups from the polymer backbone.

An automatic dishwashing detergent composition comprising: (a) 0.5 to 8 wt % of a polymer comprising polymerized units of: (i) 5 to 75 wt % itaconic acid, (ii) 10 to 60 wt % of vinyl acetate; and (iii) 10 to 50 wt % (meth)acrylic acid; and having Mfrom 5,000 to 100,000; (b) 2 to 50 wt % of an aminocarboxylate builder; (c) 1 to 10 wt % of a nonionic surfactant; (d) 20 to 75 wt % of carbonate, citrate, silicate or a combination thereof; and (e) 5 to 25 wt % of a bleaching agent.

An automatic dishwashing composition is provided including a dispersant polymer; a builder; and a surfactant, wherein the surfactant is a fatty alcohol alkoxylate of formula I: wherein Ris a linear or branched, saturated Calkyl group; Ris a linear saturated Calkyl group; m has an average value of 22 to 42; n has an average value of 4 to 12; wherein m+n is an average value of 26 to 54; wherein the fatty alcohol alkoxylate has an average ethyleneoxy unit concentration per molecule, X, of &#x3e;45 wt %; and, wherein the fatty alcohol alkoxylate has a ratio, Z, equal to X divided by n, wherein the ratio, Z, is &#x3c;9.5.

Automatic dishwashing compositions with dispersant blend

A phosphorus-free automatic dishwashing detergent composition comprising 2.5 to 8 wt % of a first polymer comprising polymerized units of: (i) 55 to 85 wt % of a C-Cmonoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, (ii) 2 to 30 wt % of a C-Cmonoethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid and (iii) 2 to 15 wt % of a C-Cmonoethylenically unsaturated tertiary amine; and having Mfrom 2,000 to 100,000.

Additive for reducing spotting in automatic dishwashing systems

A surfactant for use in an automatic dishwashing composition is provided, wherein the surfactant is a glycidyl ether-capped ethoxylated alcohol as noted in formula I. Wherein Ris a linear, saturated Calkyl group, Ris a linear or branched saturated Calkyl group, m has an average value of 10 to 50, and n has an average value of &#x3e;1 to 2. Also provided are automatic dishwashing compositions comprising said surfactant.
