A print liquid supply apparatus or interface structure to be connected to a print system comprises a liquid channel, liquid interface and integrated circuit contact pads.

Print liquid supply

The present disclosure is drawn to an ink supply tank for a printer. The ink supply tank includes a main chamber to supply a printer with ink. The main chamber includes a fill port to receive ink during filling and an exchange port to release the ink. A chamber separator device is configured with a fill surface and a vent port. An overflow chamber can be configured with a vent to pass air into the overflow chamber, a first portion of air in the overflow chamber passes through the vent port of the chamber separator device to a feeder chamber to replace a second portion of ink leaving the ink supply tank to feed a print head and the vent port of the chamber separator device to pass a third portion of ink and a second portion of air from the feeder chamber to the overflow chamber.

Ink supply tanks

A metered volume microfluidic device can include fluid flow microfluidics. The fluid flow microfluidics can include an inflow channel, a metered volume chamber positioned to receive working fluid from the inflow channel, a metered volume outflow channel positioned to receive and direct a metered volume of the working fluid when discharged from the metered volume chamber, and a capillary check valve. The capillary check valve can allow excess working fluid to exit the metered volume chamber when filling the metered volume chamber via the inflow channel. The capillary check valve can also prevent excess working fluid that has passed there through from being reintroduced into the metered volume chamber when the working fluid is discharged into the metered volume outflow channel.

Metered volume microfluidic devices

A microfluidic valve can include a substrate having a microfluidic channel formed in the substrate. A sealing layer can be over the microfluidic channel. A flexible blister layer can be over the sealing layer. The flexible blister layer can include a blister formed as a distended portion with a blister volume between the flexible blister layer and the sealing layer. The microfluidic valve can be actuatable by puncturing the sealing layer by pressing on the blister. Actuating the microfluidic valve can either allow fluid to flow through the microfluidic channel or block fluid from flowing through the microfluidic channel.

Microfluidic valves

A fluid ejection and circulation apparatus may include a fluid ejection device, a filter to filter fluid supplied to the fluid ejection device and a pressure regulator. The pressure regulator may include a fluid chamber having a fluid port and a first port extending from the fluid chamber to the filter. The pressure regulator may further include a valve to open and close the fluid port and a compliant chamber within the fluid chamber. The compliant chamber is to undergo different inflation levels in response to fluid chamber pressure. The valve is to open and close the fluid port in response to changes in an inflation level of the compliant chamber. The fluid chamber comprises a second port cooperating with the first port to form a circulation path through the fluid chamber that is directed away from the filter.

Fluid ejection and circulation

In one example, a liquid delivery system for an inkjet type dispenser includes: a printhead unit; a reservoir separate from the printhead unit; a flow path from the reservoir through the printhead unit and back to the reservoir; an interconnect to connect a removable liquid container to the flow path; and a single pump to pump ink along the flow path: from the reservoir through the printhead unit and back to the reservoir; and from the interconnect to the reservoir when a removable liquid container is connected to the interconnect.

Liquid delivery in an inkjet type dispenser

A printing device interface to receive a fluid supply may include a fluid dock arranged on an external surface of a housing of the printing device, the fluid dock further arranged to receive a mechanical interface of a fluid supply wherein the arrangement of the fluid dock on the external surface of the housing enables use of a center of mass and weight of the fluid supply to maintain a mechanical, fluidic, and electrical connection with the fluid supply.

Fluid supplies

A fluid ejection and circulation apparatus may include a fluid ejection die, the pressure regulator, a first standpipe, a second standpipe and a crossflow passage. The pressure regulator has a fluid chamber. The first standpipe is between the fluid chamber and the fluid ejection die. The first standpipe has a first port above the fluid ejection die. The second standpipe extends alongside the first standpipe. The second standpipe has a second port above the fluid ejection die. The crossflow passage connects the first standpipe and the second standpipe.

Standpipe crossflow circulation

The subject matter discloses a fluid cartridge comprising a container to hold a predetermined volume of fluid, and a lid for closing the container. The lid comprises a valve-recess and an inlet valve in the valve-recess to transfer a volume of a replacement fluid in the container for replacing depleted volume of fluid in the container. A rocker valve is pivoted in the valve-recess to cover the inlet valve during a regulation phase. The rocker valve is to open the inlet valve during an actuation phase to allow the replacement fluid to enter the container. A spring element is movably disposed on the rocker valve to control actuation of the rocker valve for opening and closing the inlet valve. The spring element slides across the rocker valve, from a regulation zone of the rocker valve to an actuation zone of the rocker valve, to open the inlet valve.

Fluid cartridge

A rocker valve includes a number of rails to transitionally connect an arm of a spring to the rocker valve such that the arm of the spring transitions across the rocker valve to actuate the rocker valve, a first side of the rocker valve to selectively engage with a valve seat based on a position of the arm of the spring relative to the first side of the rocker valve, and a number of pivot arms to pivot the rocker valve between a closed position and an open position such that the first side of the rocker valve selectively engages with the valve seat to regulate pressure inside a print head assembly.

Rocker valve

In one example, an ink supply assembly that may be installed into a printer as a single unit while holding ink includes a first sub-assembly having a primary container to hold ink and a secondary container enclosing the primary container and configured to fit inside the printer. The assembly also includes a a second sub-assembly having an ink supply to receive ink from the primary container through a conduit and to deliver ink to a printhead.

Liquid supply

In one example, an ink storage unit for an inkjet printer includes multiple bags to hold ink, a single housing enclosing the bags and configured to fit inside the printer, and an outlet from each bag to connect to an ink flow path external to the housing. In another example, a liquid supply unit includes multiple primary containers each holding liquid, a single secondary container enclosing the primary containers, and an outlet from each primary container. In this example, each outlet is positioned at the middle of a vertical column of liquid in the corresponding primary container.

A pressure regulator apparatus usable with an aerosol supply device containing a fluid includes an inflatable diaphragm unit including an upper surface member, a lower surface member, and a diaphragm chamber formed between the upper surface member and the lower surface member, an output port member having an output cavity and an output port, at least a portion of the output port member is disposed within and in fluid communication with the diaphragm chamber, a valve actuator including an actuator cavity and one or more actuator openings in fluid communication with the output port, at least a portion of the valve actuator is moveably disposed within the output cavity, an input port member having an input port configured to allow the fluid to enter the actuator cavity, at least a portion of the input port member is disposed proximate to the actuator cavity, and an axial flow path extending between the input port and the output port, and configured to allow the fluid to selectively pass in a substantially axial direction therethrough, wherein the valve actuator moves to close and open the input port based on an inflation status of the inflatable diaphragm unit to regulate a pressure of the fluid to be transported from the inflatable diaphragm unit substantially constant.
