An apparatus for detecting leakage current through a solenoid coil that includes a capacitor connected to one end of the solenoid coil and a feedback circuit that monitors the rate of decay of the capacitor voltage to determine if an excessive leakage current is present.

Apparatus and method for detection of solenoid current

A pressure sensor is mounted integrally in a hydraulic valve body. The sensor has a base which extends into a bore formed in the valve body. The valve body bore is in communication with a pressurized hydraulic fluid. A first circumferential groove formed in the sensor base carries an O-ring which forms a seal between the sensor and the wall of the valve body bore. A second circumferential groove formed in the sensor base carries a spring ring which extends into a corresponding groove formed in the wall of the valve body groove. The spring ring cooperates with the sensor base and valve body bore grooves to retain the sensor in the valve body bore.

Pressure sensor integrated into an electro-hydraulic control unit

An electrical connector includes a plurality of conductors having first and second ends. The first end of each of the conductors is electrically connected to a first printed circuit board. The second end of each of the conductors is received in a bore which extends through a member formed from an electrically insulative material. Each bore also receives a wire form button which contacts the second end of the conductor and extends from the bore. The wire form buttons are in electrical contact with corresponding terminal contact pads formed upon a second printed circuit board. The conductors flex to urge the wire form buttons against the terminal contact pads.

A plurality of pressure sensors are carried in housing mounted upon a hydraulic control valve for an electro-hydraulic brake system. The pressure sensors are electrically connected to a signal conditioning circuit which also is mounted upon the hydraulic control valve. The signal conditioning circuit samples the sensors and mulitplexes the sensor signals into a single output signal.

A microvalve device for controlling fluid flow in a fluid circuit. The microvalve device includes a body defining a chamber, an inlet port and an outlet port. The inlet port is connected in fluid communication with the chamber and is adapted for connection with a first fluid source. The outlet port is connected in fluid communication with the chamber and is adapted for connection with a second fluid source. A check valve is movably disposed in the chamber for movement between a closed position and a fully opened position by differential pressure across the check valve. When the check valve is placed in the fully opened position, fluid is allowed to flow from the inlet port to the outlet port through the chamber. When placed in the closed position, the check valve restricts fluid from flowing between the inlet and outlet ports.

A solenoid coil formed by winding a conductive foil tape upon a sleeve and method for making same. The coil includes a free standing wire termination which is wound into the coil. Alternately, the end of the foil tape can be folded to form a coil termination.
