Medical devices and methods for forming an arteriovenous (AV) fistula include a stent having an arterial tubular portion and vein supporting tongue connected by a pre-shaped connector and a venous frustoconical stent having a distal end for maintaining a take-off angle for the venous portion of the AV fistula. Also disclosed is an angled balloon for assisting with the formation of the AV fistula. The medical devices disclosed herein support an AV fistula formation having a desired take off angle of about 30 degrees, or between about 15 and 45 degrees.

Intravascular devices supporting an arteriovenous fistula

Systems, devices and methods for eluting an agent at a treatment site are disclosed. The devices include an expandable frame and at least one membrane. The membrane may carry an agent to elute at the treatment site. The membrane may allow blood flow at the treatment site during agent delivery.

A catheter configured for performing reperfusion by alternatively occluding a vessel so as to prevent fluid flow and removing that occlusion to allow fluid flow is described. A first catheter includes an outer member and a retractable valve to allow and prevent fluid flow in the vessel. A second catheter includes a sheathed expansion member that can be deployed and recaptured to prevent and allow, respectively, fluid flow. A third catheter includes an angioplasty balloon to open a vessel occlusion, in which an occlusion balloon is used to allow and disallow fluid flow. A fourth catheter includes an expandable member for providing mechanical plunging action to urge thrombotic material to a more distal location. A fifth catheter includes an accessory catheter that can be used to perform reperfusion with another catheter. A sixth catheter includes an inner balloon within an outer balloon configured to perform reperfusion.

Reperfusion injury devices

A polymeric stent can be implanted for treatment of the Eustachian tube. The stent can be designed to have length-dependent radial strength to allow it to stay within the Eustachian tube and to allow normal closing and opening of the Eustachian tube. A balloon can be used to implant the stent, and the balloon can be coated with a therapeutic agent. A coated balloon can also be used to transfer therapeutic agents to the sinus cavity during a balloon sinus dilation procedure.

Devices and methods for treatment of the Eustachian tube and sinus cavity

A method is provided including introducing a delivery device through a vessel wall to a treatment site within one of a peri-adventitial space or a pericardium adjacent a coronary blood vessel and delivering a treatment agent through the delivery device. The treatment agent is delivered through the delivery device according to conditions that hydraulically dissect tissue planes within the peri-adventitial space. A kit is provided including a delivery device having a needle to be advanced through one of an epicardium of a heart and a wall of a coronary blood vessel into a peri-adventitial space and a treatment agent comprising particles having an average diameter on the order of 15 microns or more to be delivered through the delivery device into the peri-adventitial space.

Lipid therapy

Pro-healing agent formulation compositions, methods and treatments for enhancing vascular healing are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a pro-healing agent is encapsulated, suspended, disposed within or loaded into a biodegradable carrier for sustained-release delivery to a denuded or damaged endothelium treatment area in a blood vessel. In some applications, the pro-healing agent can accelerate re-endothelialization of a denuded vascular region. In some applications, the pro-healing agent can assist in the regaining of endothelium functionality. The formulation can be delivered by a delivery assembly such as an infusion catheter, a porous balloon catheter, a needle injection catheter, a double balloon catheter or the like.

Pro-healing agent formulation compositions, methods and treatments

Embodiments of the present invention include methods for the treatment, prevention, or amelioration of vascular disease in diabetic patients. The methods include both implantation of a stent including a first drug. Some embodiments include additional therapy, such as the co-administration of another drug. Some embodiments involve different stent selection for a diabetic patient compared to a non-diabetic patient.
